A combination of factors meant I didn’t send a newsletter out last week and it was probably for the best as I had a bit of a nightmare on the betting front and it appears many punters suffered the same fate.
The week wasn’t all bad though and I got to watch the Goodforthegame filly, “Loving The Victory” finally break her maiden tag
Last night’s edition of THE HANDICAP “Rugby Chat that Matters” saw @OraclePedia returning after losing a grand to me the week before. We were also joined by @UKRugbyBets who made his debut on the show.
There was plenty of rugby to talk about with the final round of Super Rugby Trans-Tasman as well as Rainbow Cup SA taking place this weekend. @UKRugbyBets also gave input on the Gallagher Premiership action. I also squeezed a bet out of the Oracle.

A DEAD RUBBER OR A HALF-DEAD RUBBER?
We had a chuckle on last nights show when Oracle referred to certain games as dead rubbers and we debated whether some were in fact half-dead rubbers with one team having something to play for. The Crusaders game is a good example and they may just have to beat the Rebels to make the final however if the Highlanders get a bonus point win over the Brumbies they are going to have to chase points and tries. In any event I think they will be looking for the bonus to put the Blues who play after them under some sort of pressure – they would probably need to win by 40-45 points to do so.
In any event they have named a strong side and I think they will put the Rebels under the whip early. In truth I am dying to pull the trigger on the -13.5 half time cap but I have never done that well with HT caps and will take the Crusaders straight up on the minus.
