The latest Goodforthegame newsletter penned by @BrentGraham with best bets for the weekend 13th to 15th August and a 12/1 acca with WSB
Last week’s Best Bet landed with some ease as over 56.5 points cruised home in Kimberley. The Currie Cup has certainly been high scoring and overs backers collected in both games in midweek and although we got our previews out ahead of the points lines we managed to nail both handicaps and have some ammo heading into the weekend.
I’M WARMING TO AUSTRALIA
Couch Critic and @theCRowetips joined me on last night’s edition of THE HANDICAP “Rugby Chat that Matters”. The lads were a little non-committal on the opening Bledisloe Cup game, but based on this exchange pointed out by The Conductor I wasn’t really paying attention anyway
Hein: “Australia are shit and aren’t the ‘92 team”
Chris: “New Zealand could cruise the minus”
Brent: “……I’m warming up to Australia……”
Click here if you missed the show which also includes Currie Cup and Bunnings NPC picks where Chris had some confident selections.
AUSSIES TO KEEP IT TIGHT
Although they let New Zealand get away from them at one point in the 2nd half last week I felt Australia held their own and fancy them to beat the handicap again. The bet I prefer though is New Zealand u38.5 points – the full preview is here but in short the conditions don’t look great and I am expecting Australia to be competitive
BEST BET: 6 units All Blacks u38.5 points at 0.86/1 at Betxchange
There has been plenty of money for the Pumas in the Boks RC opener and I have just a small stake on the Boks 1-12 at this point – South Africa v Argentina preview here
