The Lions certainly left things late to deliver last week’s Best Bet of over 22.5 points away to the Pumas. At half-time they had only 3 on the board and I was pretty much writing the bet of. But in the Currie Cup you just never know and the points really flowed after the break.
I enjoyed one of my better weekends in recent times and had some real success on the points markets (including my biggest bet England over 14.5) although some of my handicap calls went missing.
All-in-all though a profitable weekend and I was feeling in great form heading into this weekend and this morning’s Super Rugby matches.
It is amazing how quickly form can turn though and when the Crusaders and Chiefs both turned in disappointing performances, which failed to deliver on their team overs, I found myself under a bit of pressure heading into the weekend.
THE HANDICAP

As often happens when @OraclePedia is on the shows a couple of private bets got placed and here he and Hanrick settled on a R1000 bet on the Pumas v Griquas game.

HURRICANES TO RUN FREE IN AUCKLAND
I really battled with this weeks Best Bet and was lining up Sharks -5.5 but the line moved after team news which is a bit surprising as the Sharks were always going to go full strength
Earlier in the week I followed the forum with a Bulls -11.5 play but that line has also moved and I find myself looking at points in Moana v Hurricanes.
Conditions look good and Moana tend to leak plenty so Canes overs it is.
