newsletterThe latest Goodforthegame newsletter penned by @BrentGraham with best bets for 26th, 27th June and a 10/1 weekend acca with @Playabets

I was very relieved when the Lions reached the 25 point mark against Western Province in midweek.  After a few horrid weekends in succession I really needed a winner and at least that sent me into this weekend in a positive mind-set.

Tour de France starts today!
I had expected the Tour de France to start in its usual first Saturday in July slot, but it in fact gets going tomorrow and this caught me off guard a bit.  We will have betting previews on every stage and you can click here for Stage 1 and I will also be doing video betting previews on our YouTube Channel for every stage and in the opener I also have a quick look at the Jersey Betting – click here for the video preview

THE HANDICAP
It was great to welcome @UKRugbyBets back to THE HANDICAP “Rugby Chat that Matters” betting show on Thursday and he was joined by The Conductor.  At one point early in the show @UKRugbyBets appeared to lose his Wi-Fi connection and as a South African who was sitting without water at the time and waiting for the next load shedding announcement, it was actually quite comforting to know other countries experienced problems with areas like Wi-Fi.  As it turns out it was his laptop that was the problem and when he came back on things ran smoothly.

The show, itself, was enjoyable as usual and we covered the Gallagher Premiership final between Exeter and the Harlequins (the English Premiership is certainly a great watch at the moment) and also looked at the British and Irish Lions v Japan where The Conductor and I both agreed Japan under 22.5 points was a solid play, but that line has already moved to the 20 point mark.  There was also Currie Cup chat and a little bit of discussion on the Maori v Samoa Test taking place this weekend.

Next week the big build up to the Boks v Lions tests starts.

Cycling Genius to Deliver!
Todays Tour de France stage will be frantic and as nothing stand out for me in the rugby I am going for a cycling play. Matthieu Van Der Poel is one of the most exciting cyclists in the world and is in my opinion a cycling genius. World Sports Betting have him 5/2 for todays stage which is as good as I have seen. What makes this cracking value is their promo with money back for 2nd place as on a stage like this I believe one of the top 3 in the betting will win it.

BET: 3 units Van Der Poel win stage 1 at 5/2 at WSB*
*Money back in free bets for 2nd promo, T&Cs apply
