newsletterThe latest Goodforthegame newsletter penned by @BrentGraham with best bets for the weekend of 7th to 9th August

Every now and again you make a mistake when betting, sometimes these cost you money and sometimes they work in your favour.  Last Friday in the Force v Rebels match I made an error that didn’t make me money, but it did save me money and that left me feeling like a winner even though I was a loser. Make sense? I didn’t think so, Click here for this weeks Blog “A Profitable Mistake”.

LET THE WIND BLOW

There is plenty of sporting action this weekend and Rugby takes centre stage and if you missed last nights THE HANDICAP, our trademark Rugby Betting Show then Click here to watch or Click here for the Podcast.

It was a show where the Panel were in agreement on most occasions, but at the same time there were not a lot of really confident bets highlighted.  Of course I couldn’t let the show go by without  another R500 bet with Oracle and my money is riding on the Reds against his Waratahs.

This mornings game looks like being low scoring (terrible weather) but with the points line now around 38.5 I am going to make the unders in Wellington the weeks Best Bet.

Thoughts on Sports highlighted the u52.5 on the Goodforthegame forum earlier in the week and with high winds expected I am happy to take the u50.5 still available.

BET: 5 units u50.5 points Hurricanes v Chiefs at 0.89/1 at Playabets

KOEPKA GOES FOR 3

There is also the first Major of the year, the USA PGA taking place this weekend and I like the World Sports Betting special that if you back a player before Round 2 and he leads, but doesn’t win going into the Final Round, you get your money back as a free bet – T&Cs apply.

On this basis I am going to highlight Brooks Koepka, the man looking for his 3rd win and currently 1 off the pace at a price of 9/2.

BET: 1 unit Koepka win at 9/2 at WSB

Talking about the Golf, @Oracle Rugby and myself held a Trivia show on Wednesday night.  This Show was aired at short notice so we didn’t get a big live audience, but have had great feedback since and if you fancy yourself as a bit of a Golf Trivia Officiendo then you can watch it here.

Subscribe to the Goodforthegame channel to make sure you don’t miss future Trivia shows

There is plenty of other action on the Goodforthegame Website and YouTube Channel, here are the highlights:

  • The Rugby Thread on the Goodforthegame Forum is always worth a follow with plenty of bets and thoughts around handicaps and points lines over the weekend

  • Keep an eye on our Cycling Betting Thread where The Vann has been in excellent form and tomorrow we have one of the big monuments, Milan-San Remo and I will also be posting my selections on this thread

  • The WSB Blog features plenty of Previews including Friday and Saturday nights Champions League.
