The good news is that the Newsletter Bet, Bulls over 3.5 tries before half-time arrived at a shade over evens last week. The bad news was it was about the only thing I got right all weekend and in the end it definitely belonged to the bookmakers.
I am always someone who likes to see the glass half-full and the (only) positive I drew out of it is that rather than chasing losses, I eventually stepped back and took a time out so although it was a bad weekend it stopped short of been catastrophic. Am I finally maturing?
Back to that Bulls bet and I couldn’t actually watch the game and following on my phone on one of the bookmakers sites I was absolutely confused when the score and the minutes stayed the same with 3 tries scored and still 6 minutes to play in the 1st half. As it turned out it was due to the lights failing and thankfully the Bulls got us that try in the end.
This weekend got off to a good start with under 59.5 arriving in the Blues game and I also took Blues over 35.5 at the break.

GRIQUAS TO BOOK A SEMI SPOT
I cannot believe we have 2 Currie Cup games taking place together this afternoon. To make it worse they are 2 of the games where I have strong fancies.
I like the Lions minus (and points) but will settle on Griquas as my best bet. They have ended the season strong and the same cannot be said of the Pumas. I also like Griquas over 31.5 but in a game where I think 3 pointers will be taken I will settle on the handicap.
