South Africa v Romania, Australia v Fiji and England v Japan make up Sunday's Rugby World Cup coupon and @Olimp_SA have a preview including betting tips
Rugby World Cup Games, Sunday 17th September, Betting preview
After an action-packed first week of the Rugby World Cup, the teams have regrouped as they head straight into the second week of games in France. 'The Don' takes a look at the betting on Sundays matches and will share his bets
South Africa v Romania
Coming off to a good start in their warm-up games, the Springboks opened their World Cup campaign with a decisive 18-3 win over Scotland. This victory has kept them as favourites to top their group at 1.57 odds. The South African squad will undergo 14 changes compared to the team that faced Scotland, including the return of Canan Moodie and Jean Kleyn.
Romania were hammered in their opening game, suffering an 82-8 loss to Ireland, during which they conceded twelve tries in total. They were seen as the weakest side coming into Rugby World Cup 2023 and it is hard to see how they are going to stop the Boks from marching through them.
Verdict
With South Africa coming off a big win and facing a bruised Romanian side, the Springboks will look to put away as many points as possible and should be able to do so quite comfortably.
The Don’s Play
Springbok points over 72.5 at 1.86

Australia v Fiji
In their opening game, Australia managed to secure a comfortable win against the Georgian side and earned themselves a bonus point. This marked their coach, Eddie Jones' first win since his return. It sees them as favourites to top their group at 1.57.
Fiji opened their campaign with a narrow defeat to Wales, where we witnessed a late fightback from the Fijians. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough, as the game ended 32-26. This places them third in the betting to top their group, behind Australia and Wales, with odds at 11.00.
Verdict
This is a crucial gameand the Fijians will give their all to try to secure a win. This one may come down to the wire but I was impressed with Australia’s attack against Georgia and will back them to score 29 points or more.
The Don’s Play
Australia to score more than 28.5 points at 1.80

England V Japan
Japan was able to secure an important bonus point in the opening game against Chile by scoring a total of 42 points for a 30 point victory. Despite this comfortable win, they are currently fourth favourites to top their group at 39.00, trailing behind England, Argentina, and Samoa.
Similarly, England also started off well with a big 27-10 win over Argentina. This victory was thanks to a heroic performance from George Ford, who scored all 27 points for the English side. Because of this win, they are now the clear favourites to top their group with odds at 1.08.
Verdict
England should be too strong for Japan and if they can repeat the defensive effort we saw against Argentina then I don’t think Japan will reach the 2 converted
tries mark.
The Don’s Play
Japan to score less than 13.5 points at 1.85
