SATURDAY

CAPE TOWN CITY v ROYAL AM

Cape Town City have climbed nicely up the table and are back up to 5th spot after a run that has seen them win 4 in a row and undefeated in their last 7 games. Last time out they beat Maritzburg 1-0 on the road and their last 3 home games have seen victories over Baroka, Marumo Gallants and Sekhukhune.

Royal AM are currently sitting 2nd on the table and they are also in good form with just 1 defeat in their last 10 and 4 victories and a draw in their last 5 games. Last time out they beat Marumo Gallants 2-0 at home and their last 2 away games were a 4-1 defeat of Galaxy and a 2-2 draw at Stellenbosch.

Fifty percent of the Cape Town City home matches have delivered profits for over 2.5 goal backers and this stat is replicated in Royal AM away matches.

Cape Town City beat Royal AM on the road earlier in the season.

Cape Town City 27/20

Draw 2/1

Royal AM 5/2

Suggested Bet: Over 2.5 goals at 29/20

Kaizer Chiefs may be playing SuperSport, but for me this is the tie of the weekend and I am expecting an exciting encounter by 2 teams that are in form.

I was tempted by Cape Town City to win, but have decided then to settle on the goals markets where I am looking for 3 goals or more in total.

KAIZER CHIEFS v SUPERSPORT UNITED

Kaizer Chiefs are currently 3rd on the log and their last start was a goalless draw at home to Galaxy, but they have lost only 1 of their last 5 League fixtures and at home this season Kaizer Chiefs have won 5, drawn 2 and lost 3.

SuperSport United are 8th on the table and without a win in their last 4 starts. Last time out they drew 1-1 to Chippa United and a common trend in SuperSport United games is both teams finding the net and this has arrived in their last 4 matches. Overall they have battled on the road this season with just 2 wins in 12 matches.

40% of Kaizer Chiefs home matches have seen over 2.5 goal backers collect profit and the last 5 of Chiefs home games have all seen less than 3 goals scored. SuperSport’s 12 away games has seen a 50% split between over and under 2.5 goals.

Chiefs beat SuperSport 2-1 away in the reverse fixture and the last two times Chiefs have hosted SuperSport the games finished 1-1.

Kaizer Chiefs 23/20

Draw 21/10

SuperSport United 29/10

Suggested Bet: Both teams to score, YES, at 5/4

This has been a trend in recent SuperSport matches, but also in head-to-heads between the sides and this would have landed in the last 6 League matches between Kaizer Chiefs and SuperSport.

SUNDAY

MARUMO GALLANTS v SWALLOWS

Marumo Gallants are currently sitting 11th on the table with just 1 point from the last 9 games they have played. Last time out they lost 2-0 away to Royal AM and their last home game was a goalless draw with Chippa United.

Swallows are sitting just outside the relegation zone with just 3 wins in 24 matches and their last game was a 1-1 draw at Maritzburg United and overall Swallows have won just 1 of their last 10 games.

Marumo Gallants home games have averaged 1.5 goals each this season, 7 of the 11 matches failing to reach the 3 goal mark. Swallows away games have been the lowest scoring in the Division with only 2 of the 12 matches delivering you a profit had you backed over 2.5 goals and they have averaged just 1.3 goals each.

Marumo Gallants 19/20

Draw 22/10

Swallows 15/4

Suggested Bet: The draw at 22/10

I find myself battling to pick a winner in this game and while Gallants are worthy favourites I think they are going to get stern resistance from Swallows and that the draw will be a big runner here.
