I am battling to find a winner in this one, but I do think we could be in for an entertaining match although perhaps not as good as the 4-3 win by Mamelodi Sundowns at home earlier this season. I am looking for this game to follow the recent trend of Sundowns over 2.5 goals and I also expect both teams to find the back of the net and that is on offer at 19/20.

 

BLACK LEOPARDS v STELLENBOSCH

Black Leopards are bottom of the table and they have now gone 6 matches without a victory during which time they have only taken 1 point. Last time out they lost 1-0 away at Swallows and their last home game was a 1-0 defeat to AmaZulu.

Black Leopards have really battled at home this season winning only 2 games and they have lost their last 5 home games in a row.

Stellenbosch are 12^th on the table, but on something of a wobbly run with only 2 points taken from the last 12 they have played for. Last time out they went down 1-0 at home to AmaZulu. Their last away game was a 2-2 draw with Kaizer Chiefs. Prior to the AmaZulu game they had played 5 games in a row where both teams had found the net.

This has been a common result in Stellenbosch matches, but also looking at the head-to-head between the sides has landed in their last 5 meetings dating back to the First Division in 2018.

KAIZER CHIEFS v CAPE TOWN CITY

Chiefs were very disappointed to concede a late equaliser against Baroka last time out and they sit 9^th on the table, just outside the top 8 and with only one win in their last 10 matches.

Cape Town City sit 7^th on the log, 5 points ahead of Chiefs having played a game more. They broke an 8 match run without a victory when they beat SuperSport United 3-0 at home last time out.

The draw has been a common result for both of these sides in recent times and although I am tempted by the over 2.5 goals at 13/10 I think the draw at 2/1 offers the better value.

SUPERSPORT UNITED v GOLDEN ARROWS

SuperSport United are 6^th on the log, but on a poor run which has seen them without a win in 6 games. Last time out they lost 3-0 away to Cape Town City. Their last home game was a goalless draw with Galaxy. They are undefeated at home this season with 5 wins and 6 draws in their 11 starts.

Golden Arrows have had a great season and they sit 3^rd on the table with just 2 defeats in 22 games. They are undefeated in their last 6, but have drawn their last 3 matches, most recently 1-1 at home to Bloem Celtic and prior to that they drew 1-1 with Swallows on the road. Both teams have found the back of the net in the last 5 Golden Arrows PSL matches.

SuperSport look shaky at the moment, but they are a tough side to beat at home. I am tempted by the draw here, but in this game I am more confident that both teams will find the net and continue the recent run seen in Arrows games.
