AmaZulu currently sit 6th on the log, but they are in freefall having taken just 1 point from the last 12 they have played for. Last time out they went down 1-0 away at Mamelodi Sundowns and their last home game was a 2-1 defeat to Chippa United. As far as goals go AmaZulu’s matches have averaged 2 goals apiece this season with a 50% split between over and under 2.5 goals.
Richards Bay are 3rd on the log and have taken 7 points from the last 9 they have played for. Last time out they drew 0-0 at home to Galaxy and prior to that beat Royal AM and Stellenbosch by 1 goal margins on the road. Their games have been very low scoring averaging just 1.1 goals each with only 1 of the 8 matches reaching the 3 goal mark.
It is really hard to pick a winner in this game and at the time of writing the Exotic Markets had not yet been priced up so I am going to look at the match betting which sees AmaZulu 14/10, the draw 21/10 and Richards Bay 21/10 and I can’t see much separating these sides and I think the draw is a big runner.

The big Soweto Derby is probably the pick of the midweek fixtures and we have 14th placed Swallows sitting on 8 points from 8 matches playing against 9th placed Chiefs who have 3 points more.
Swallows have only taken 1 point from the last 9 they have played for and they are coming off back-to-back defeats, 4-0 away at Golden Arrows and 2-1 at home to Stellenbosch. Kaizer Chiefs have run into some form of late and they have taken 5 points from the last 9 they have played for, most recently beating SuperSport United 2-1 on the road. Their last away game was a 1-1 draw with Marumo Gallants.
Looking at the goal stats from these sides, Swallows matches this season are the highest scoring in the Division by some way, averaging 2.9 goals each and 5 of the 8 games would have delivered you a profit had you backed over 2.5 goals. Kaizer Chiefs matches are averaging 2 goals apiece with 3 of the 8 matches reaching the 3 goal mark.
There were 4 goals in each of the 2 PSL matches between the sides last season and given Swallows goal scoring record this season I am hoping for me of the same.
