There are 5 English Premier League matches taking place on Saturday and we suggest a bet in each.
NORWICH v WEST HAM – Click Here to bet
Norwich are firmly rooted to the foot of the table and they have lost their last 6 matches including all 5 games since returning from the COVID-19 break. The only consolation from their 2-1 loss to Watford is that it was the first goal they scored in 5 games.
West Ham had the opportunity to go well clear of the relegation zone with a victory at home to Burnley in midweek, but they lost 1-0 and now sit just 4 points clear of the drop. Prior to that Burnley loss they drew 2-2 away to Newcastle.
Betting
Norwich 11/4
Draw 53/20
West Ham 1/1
Suggested Bet: West Ham win at 1/1
West Ham won the reverse fixture 2-0 and the way Norwich are playing at the moment, this is the perfect opportunity for them to grab 3 points
WATFORD v NEWCASTLE – Click Here to bet
Watford were relieved to pick up 3 points against Norwich, a win which broke a 3 match losing run. It was hardly convincing though and they will have to up their game against 13th placed Newcastle who were hammered 5-0 by Manchester City in midweek and prior to that drew 2-2 at home with West Ham.
Betting
Watford 8/10
Draw 53/20
Newcastle 37/10
Suggested Bet: The draw at 53/20
These sides drew both the fixtures they played last season and I don’t think either team would be too unhappy with a point
LIVERPOOL v BURNLEY – Click Here to bet
Champions, Liverpool bounced back from that away defeat to Manchester City with a scrappy 2-0 home win against Villa and then a 3-1 win at Brighton. They face a Burnley side that has dropped only 2 points in their last 4 games and has won their last 2 away fixtures at West Ham and Crystal Palace.
Liverpool have won their last 4 matches against Burnley including beating them 3-0 on the road earlier this season.
Betting
Liverpool 1/4
Draw 21/4
Burnley 10/1
Suggested Bet: Both teams to score, YES, at 19/20
Burnley have scored in their last 3 visits to Anfield and while I think defeat is inevitable, I think they can find the back of the net.
SHEFFIELD UNITED v CHELSEA – Click Here to bet
Sheffield United sit 7th on the table. They have stormed back to form after a disappointing start when returning from the break. They have now taken 7 points from their last 9 including home wins against Wolves and Tottenham.
Chelsea have played 5 matches since returning from the break, they have won 4 of them including a 3-2 away win over Crystal Palace in midweek. Goals have been flowing in Chelsea’s games and over 2.5 goal backers have collected in all 5 of their matches.
These sides drew 2-2 at Chelsea earlier in the season.
Betting
Sheffield United 5/1
Draw 59/20
Chelsea 6/10
Suggested Bet: Over 2.5 goals at 9/10
Both these teams have looked good on attack of late and this is my bet of the day.
BRIGHTON v MANCHESTER CITY – Click Here to bet
Brighton can be relieved that they are pretty much out of danger of being relegated. They have just come off playing Champions, Liverpool and now face second place Manchester City. They went down 3-1 at home to Liverpool and their previous home game was a 3-0 defeat to Manchester United.
City have blown hot and cold since the break, destroying teams at home, but battling to find their rhythm on the road where they have lot to Chelsea and Southampton by a goal.
City beat Brighton 4-0 earlier in the season and they won this fixture 4-1 last season.
Betting
Brighton 33/4
Draw 9/2
Manchester City 7/20
Suggested Bet: Handicap, Manchester City (-1) at 8/10
City should be too strong for Brighton and can inflict a 3rd heavy home defeat in a row on them.
