BettingDiaryThere are 4 English Premier League matches taking place on Wednesday night and we suggest a bet in each of them.

BURNLEY v WOLVES – Click Here to bet

Burnley have been in impressive form of late and since losing 5-0 to Manchester City in their first game back from the break they have won 3 and drawn 2 of their next 5 fixtures, most recently holding Liverpool to a 1-1 draw at Anfield. Their last 2 home games were a 1-1 draw to Sheffield United and a 1-0 win over Watford. Under 2.5 goals has arrived in Burnley’s last 5 matches.

Wolves are currently 6th on the log and they righted the ship with a 3-0 win over Everton last time out having lost away to Sheffield United and at home to Arsenal.   Wolves 3 goal victory over Everton broke a run of 6 successive matches which have delivered for under 2.5 goal backers.

These sides drew 1-1 at Wolves earlier in the season and last season Burnley won this fixture 2-0.

Betting

Burnley 37/10

Draw 23/10

Wolves 9/10

Suggested Bet: The draw at 23/10

It doesn’t look much between these sides and a tight low scoring fixture is expected. Under 2.5 goals was my first choice, but 5/10 I am going to go for a bigger price option.

MANCHESTER CITY v BOURNEMOUTH – Click Here to bet

Manchester City are assured of 2nd place on the log and they are coming off successive 5-0 wins away at Brighton and at home to Newcastle.

Bournemouth gave themselves some hope of avoiding relegation when they beat Leicester 4-1 at home last time out and that win broke a 9 match run without a victory.

City beat Bournemouth 3-1 away from home back in August 2019 and that was the same score line last year when they hosted Bournemouth in the EPL.

Betting

Manchester City 1/6

Draw 31/4

Bournemouth 15/1

Suggested Bet: Handicap, Manchester City (-2) at even money

City’s form may have been a bit indifferent on the road, but at home they have been hammering all before them and I am expecting a comfortable win over Bournemouth.

NEWCASTLE v TOTTENHAM – Click Here to bet

Newcastle are 13th on the table, but have only taken 1 point from their last 9 and their last 2 matches were away defeats at Watford and Manchester City. They are unbeaten at home since the EPL resumed beating Sheffield United and drawing to Villa and West Ham.

Tottenham are 8th on the table after a hard fought 2-1 win over neighbours Arsenal at home. Their away form has been less impressive though and they played to a goalless draw at Bournemouth and lost 3-1 to Sheffield United in their two recent road trips.

Newcastle beat Tottenham 1-0 on the road back in August 2019 and the last 4 League matches between these sides have been settled by just a single goal.

Betting

Newcastle 73/20

Draw 57/20

Tottenham 8/10

Suggested Bet: Under 2.5 goals at 9/10

Tottenham’s form on the road has less than impressed and I think that Newcastle can keep them on it here and the recent head-to-head trend of low scoring games will continue.

ARSENAL v LIVERPOOL – Click Here to bet

What a cracking fixture this should be with 9th placed Arsenal desperate for a victory after drawing at home to Leicester and losing away to Tottenham.

They face a Liverpool side that has wrapped up the title and certainly hasn’t looked at their best since the EPL resumed and they were held to a disappointing 1-1 draw at home to Burnley last time out and their 3 away games since returning have been a 3-1 win at Brighton, a 4-0 loss at City and a goalless draw at Everton.

Liverpool beat Arsenal 3-1 at Anfield earlier in the season and the last 2 times they met at the Emirates the match has finished in a draw.

Betting

Arsenal 29/10

Draw 59/20

Liverpool 9/10

Suggested Bet: Handicap, Arsenal (+1) at 9/10.

My first choice was to head to the goal markets, but over 2.5 goals is fairly short at 11/20 and I am settling for Arsenal to get at least a point out of the game against a Liverpool side that appears to be cruising along in 4th gear.
