SATURDAY

LIVERPOOL V WATFORD

Liverpool are currently 2nd on the log and they have won their last 9 matches in the League most recently an impressive 2-0 win away from home at Arsenal and looking at their home form they have won 11, drawn 3 of their 14 matches and Liverpool have scored 37 goals at home this season while conceding just 7.

Watford are currently 18th on the log, but got a much needed victory last time out beating Southampton 2-1 on the road. Interestingly 15 of Watford’s 22 points have come on their travels this season and Watford have managed to find the net 21 times in 15 games while conceding 15.

Liverpool hammered Watford in the reverse fixture 5-0 away from home.

Liverpool 1/7

Draw 8/1

Watford 18/1

Suggested Bet: Over 3.5 goals at 5/6

Liverpool are free scoring at home and we may not even need Watford to contribute to the scoring for this bet to arrive. That being said, Watford’s away record suggests that they could trouble Liverpool at the back and here’s hoping we get plenty of goals in this one.

MANCHESTER UNITED v LEICESTER CITY

United are currently 6th on the log, 4 positions and 14 points ahead of Leicester who are 10th, but with 2 games in hand over United.

United’s last match was a 3-2 home win over Tottenham and at Old Trafford this season they have won 8, drawn 3 and lost 4 of their 15 games. United home matches have averaged 2.8 goals each and 9 of the 15 games have delivered you a profit had you backed under 2.5 goals.

Leicester have started climbing back up the table winning 3 of their last 4 fixtures including beating Brentford 2-1 at home last time out. Their last away game was a 2-0 defeat at Arsenal. Leicester away games have been high scoring averaging 3.5 goals each with only 4 of the 13 matches failing to reach the 3 goal mark. 3 of those 4 low scoring games have occurred in their last 4 away matches.

Manchester United 11/20

Draw 15/4

Leicester City 9/2

Suggested Bet: Under 2.5 goals at 14/10

We are getting a good price for this bet probably because the head-to-head record between the sides suggests we get goals, but looking at Leicester’s recent away form and Manchester United’s home form the 14/10 actually looks great value.

SUNDAY

TOTTENHAM V NEWCASTLE UNITED

Tottenham are 5th on the log and have won 4 out of their last 5 games including beating West Ham 3-1 at home last time out. They have won 9, drawn 1 and lost 4 of their 14 home matches this season and a closer look at Tottenham’s home games with respect to goals shows that they average 3 goals each with 10 of the 14 matches reaching the 3 goal mark and delivering you a profit had you backed over 2.5 goals.

Newcastle appear to be heading to safety and currently sit 14th, but they have seen the momentum halted as a 3 match winning streak was ended with back-to-back away defeats against Everton and Chelsea both by 1-0 margins. Newcastle have lost just over 50% of their away matches this season and their away games averaged just 2.4 goals each with 10 of the 15 matches failing to reach the 3 goal mark.

Tottenham 8/15

Draw 7/2

Everton 11/2

Suggested Bet: Both teams to score, YES, at 19/20

This is my English Premier League bet of the weekend and I am basing it very much on the head-to-head form between the sides which would have seen this bet arrive in the last 4 League meetings.
