BettingDiaryThere are 2 English Premier League matches taking place on Sunday and we sink our teeth into them with a couple of bets.

MANCHESTER CITY v EVERTON

Going into the weekends fixtures, Manchester City were still firm favourites to lift the English Premier League title at 15/20.

They currently sit 2nd on the table, 3 points behind Chelsea and they have won 3 of their last 4 games including beating Manchester United 2-0 at Old Trafford last time out. Prior to that though they did go down to Crystal Palace 2-0 at home and the Palace win could have been backed at odds of close to 20/1 that day.

Looking closer at Manchester City home matches this season they have scored 12 goals in 5 games and conceded 2 and if you were backing over 2.5 goals in Manchester City home games you would have lost in 3 of the 5 games.

Everton are currently 11th on the table and in free fall after a fast start to the season. They haven't won in their last 5 games with 2 draws and 3 losses and last time played out a goalless draw at home to Tottenham.

Their last 2 away games was a defeat at Wolves and a draw at Old Trafford. Everton have scored 6 times in 5 matches on the road and conceded 8 goals and over 2.5 goal backers would have collected profits in 3 of the 5 matches.

Manchester City have dominated head-to-head encounters in the League in past seasons, winning their last 7 including the double last season where they won this fixture 5-0 and beat Everton 3-1 on the road.

Manchester City 1/6

Draw 7/1

Everton 17/1

Suggested Bet: Handicap, Manchester City (-2) at 12/10

For this bet to we need Manchester City to cut loose and win this fixture by 3 goals or more and I am expecting them to do just that against an Everton side that is really struggling.

TOTTENHAM v LEEDS

Tottenham are 9th in the League going into the weekends fixtures, but they haven't won in their last 3 games, taking just 1 point from 9. That point came in their last game away at Everton and prior to that they lost 3-0 at home to Manchester United and 1-0 on the road to West Ham. Tottenham’s 5 home matches have seen a total of 11 goals scored and interestingly Tottenham have only scored 4 of these while conceding 11.

Leeds are 15th on the table and undefeated in their last 3 starts with 2 draws and a victory. Last time out they drew 1-1 at home to Leicester and prior to that beat Norwich 2-1 on the road. Leeds games tended to be high scoring last season, but at the moment they are averaging just 2.6 goals in total per game and drilling into their away form you would only have collected a profit in 2 of the 5 Leeds matches had you been backing over 2.5 goals each time.

Last season Tottenham won this fixture 3-0 and Leeds the reverse at home by 3-1.

Tottenham 15/20

Draw 61/20

Leeds 7/2

Suggested Bet: Under 2.5 goals at 1/1

Neither of these teams have been playing in particular high scoring fixtures and with both of them under pressure I think we may get quite a cagey affair bringing unders into play.
