BettingDiaryWe take a look at the 4 English Premier League matches taking place on Sunday and suggest a bet in each.

WEST BROM v CRYSTAL PALACE – Click here to bet

West Brom are currently 18th on the log, but they are coming off their 1st win of the season, a 1-0 home win over Sheffield United. West Brom’s home matches have averaged just 2.2 goals each with the last 3 games all delivering for under 2.5 goal backers.

Crystal Palace are 15th on the log, 7 points above West Brom, but they have lost their last 2 matches in succession at home to Newcastle and away at Burnley. Palace away matches have averaged 2.8 goals each and the last 2 games have had 2 goals or less in them.

BETTING

West Brom 19/10

Draw 22/10

Crystal Palace 16/10

Suggested Bet: Crystal Palace win at 16/10

This is not a confident call, but I always like Palace on the road and would compare this game to the 2-1 game they had at Fulham.

SHEFFIELD UNITED v LEICESTER - Click here to bet

Sheffield United are bottom of the table and still looking for their 1st victory and in fact have only taken 1 point from their opening 10 matches. They are coming off back-to-back 1-0 defeats away at West Brom and at home to West Ham.

Leicester are 4th on the table, but they have lost 2 in a row now including a disappointing 2-1 loss at home to Fulham last time out. Their last away game was a 3-0 defeat at Liverpool and that broke a run of 3 successive victories.

BETTING

Sheffield United 29/10

Draw 49/20

Leicester 1/1

Suggested Bet: Leicester win at even money

Leicester are wobbling, but they will have no better chance to get back on track against a Sheffield United team that looks out of their depth in the English Premier League this season.

TOTTENHAM v ARSENAL – Click here to bet

This is the big one of the weekend and pits top of the table, Tottenham against their London neighbours, Arsenal who are sitting 14th on the log, 8 points behind Tottenham with both sides having played 10 matches. Tottenham are coming off a goalless draw away at Chelsea and they are undefeated in their last 9 League matches which have included 6 victories. Their last home game was a 2-0 win over Manchester City.

Arsenal started the season in a promising style, but have really struggled of late and in their last 6 games they have only won once, losing 4 and drawing 1. They were beaten 2-1 at home by Wolves last time out and their last away game was a goalless draw at Leeds.

Tottenham have had the better of Arsenal in this fixture in recent times winning 3 of the last 4 years with the other being a draw.

BETTING

Tottenham 1/1

Draw 51/20

Arsenal 29/10

Suggested Bet: Tottenham win at even money

Arsenal will no doubt lift themselves for this fixture, but Tottenham are playing great football and I can’t justify bets on anything other than a home win.

LIVERPOOL v WOLVES – Click here to bet

Liverpool had a narrow win over Ajax in Europe in midweek and they drew 1-1 with Brighton away last time out. They currently sit 2nd on the log, level on points with Tottenham having lost just 1 game this season and they still have a 100% home record after 5 matches scoring 4 goals and conceding 6.

Wolves are enjoying another good season and they are currently 7th on the table with just 1 defeat in their last 7 games. They beat Arsenal away last time out and they have won 3 of their 5 away games this season.

Liverpool did the double over Wolves last season, but won by a goal on each occasion.

BETTING

Liverpool 11/20

Draw 34/10

Wolves 5/1

Suggested Bet: Handicap, Liverpool (-1), the draw at 27/10

For this bet to arrive I need Liverpool to win by exactly 1 goal and as mentioned above this would have collected in both matches last season. The reason I like this though is I do expect a Liverpool win, but they have had a very busy schedule and it might be one of those games where they do nothing more than what is needed.
