Ons Jabeur plays her second Wimbledon Final in a row when she takes on Marketa Vondrousova at Wimbledon on Saturday and we take a look at the match from a betting angle.

MARKETA VONDROUSOVA

Unseeded Marketa Vondrousova despatched 12^th seed, Kudermetova and 20^th seed, Vekic in straight sets on route to the Round of 16 where she beat 32^nd seed, Bouzkova in three sets. Yet another seed awaited her in the quarter-finals and she won the 1^st set against 4^th seed Pegula before losing the 2^nd and winning the decider 6-4. Bookmakers could hardly separate her and the semi-final opponent, the unseeded Elina Svitolina, but Vondrousova was on top from the outset winning 6-3, 6-3.

ONS JABEUR

Ons Jabeur was last year’s beaten finalist and she made it through to the quarter-finals with relative ease beating the 9^th seed, Kvitova along the way. Her quarter-final opponent was Rybakina the lady who beat her in last year’s Final and despite losing the 1st set 7-6 she came back strong to win the 2nd and 3rd sets 6-4, 6-1 to book her spot in the last 4. That match followed a similar pattern as she lost the first set to 2^nd seed, Sabalenka, but the 6^th seed Jabeur stormed back to win the 2^nd set 6-4 and take the decider 6-3.

These ladies have met six times with each of them winning three. 2023 has belonged to Vondrousova though as she beat Jabeur in 3 sets in the Australian Open in Round 2 and won in straight sets 7-6, 6-4 in their last meeting in Indian Wells back in March.

Jabeur looks a worthy favourite here despite having lost both matches against Vondrousova this season. She always does her best work at Wimbledon and I am backing her to go one better than she did last year when she was runner-up.

I think Vondrousova is well capable of pushing her though and Jabeur has had a habit of dropping the 1^st set. I am going to go with Jabeur to win this 2 sets to 1.
