ARABIAN BLUE is a daughter of Heavenly Blue from the Alan Greeff stable with Richard Fourie in the saddle. She is related to multiple winners and if not too green, she should start her career on a positive note.

FIERY COUNTESS stayed on when fourth over this distance on the turf. With racing experience on her side, she should be involved at the finish.

FARAWAY GIRL is a daughter of Horizon from the Sharon Kotzen stable with Luyolo Mxothwa booked to ride. She is related to Rooster Bradshaw who has won once and placed twice from four starts. If not in need of the run, she should give a good account of herself.

RACE 2

SHEETS AND GOGGLES hails from the visiting Candice Bass-Robinson stable. She was a beaten odds-on favourite in her last start over 1400m at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth. The daughter of Gimmethegreenlight drops back to 1200m and if taking to the polytrack, she can shed her maiden tag.

LITTLE LEXI is having her first run for the Alan Greeff stable. She finished second in her penultimate run over this distance. If settled into her new surroundings, she should have a say in the outcome of this contest.

OH YOKO returns from a short eight-week break, during which time she changed stables. On best form shown, she can finish in the placings.

RACE 3

LADY SILVANO’S last three starts have been good. She finished second in the Non-Black Type Lady’s Bracelet last time. The daughter of Bold Silvano won her penultimate outing over this C&D. Craig Zackey steps back into the saddle and she may be the one to side with.

OFFICIAL SECRET is better than her last start on the turf. She has won three times, finished second once and third twice from eight starts on this course. Richard Fourie is booked to ride and she is a solid back up for the Alan Greeff stable.

ESSENTIAL finished 3.25 lengths behind the top selection last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and she may have to settle for the same result.

RACE 4

VELVET VALOUR ran a fair race when fifth in a work riders race over this distance on the turf last time. He finished second in his penultimate run over this C&D. Muzi Yeni is booked to ride and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of him where it matters most.

CHILI BOMB is having his first run for the Alan Greeff stable. It must be noted that the form of his last outing has been franked. With a bit of luck from the widest draw, he should throw out a big challenge to the top choice.

GRAND OASIS ran a good race when second over 1600m on this course last time. He drops back to 1200m and from his good draw of two, he should have a say. He is carded to race on 31 January 2025 and his progress in that race will need to be monitored.

 

 

Race 5

SEPTEMBER FLOWER won a good race in her last start over 1300m on this course. She set the pace and found more where it matters most. The daughter of One World should have no issues with the rise to 1600m and can follow up with another victory.

FLOWER FESTIVAL finished 1.25 lengths behind the top choice last time. She is 2.5kgs better off at the weights today which is enough for the tables to be turned. However, SEPTEMBER FLOWER won easier than the official margin suggests and she may still have the upper hand.

FLIGHT DISPLAY won a game race in her local debut effort over 1900m on this course. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. She is in a good space and can bring up the hat-trick.

Race 6

ROLL OF THE DICE is better than his last start over 1900m on this course. It must be noted that the form of that outing has been franked. He won his local debut effort over this C&D by over six lengths. Chad Little is likely to use his early gate speed to get across without using up too much energy, and he may be hard to peg back.

RUN THE WORLD won a good race when shedding his maiden tag over this distance on the turf. The son of One World takes on stronger, but he has plenty of scope and should be up to the task at hand.

LEGAL THRILLER raced wide around the turn last time and did not go on with the effort. Both his career victories have come on this course. With a bit of luck from his awkward draw of eight, he should be involved in the fight to the finish.

RACE 7

YOU WIN AGAIN was not disgraced when second against stronger company in her last start over 1300m on this course. She won her only attempt over this C&D, three runs ago. The daughter of Twice Over is the stable elect with Richard Fourie in the saddle and she should notch up her fifth-career victory.

LOVEGRASS is the stable companion of the top choice. She won her local debut over 1000m on the turf. If taking to the polytrack, she should be competitive.

IDITA finished 0.25 lengths behind the top choice last time. If confirming her recent improvement, she should feature.

RACE 8

IGUGULETHU received a bump leaving the starting stalls over this C&D last time and the manner in which he finished off his race was encouraging. He would have come on from the run and if not too far out of his ground turning for home, he can return to winning ways.

COASTAL PATH is a winner of his last two starts. He returns from a well-deserved 17-week break and if not in need of the outing, he can bring up the hat-trick.

TRAVEL MASTER’S last start is best ignored as the jockey was dislodged leaving the starting stalls. He finished second in his previous three outings. He drops back in class and would not be a shock winner
