Race 1

EMOYENI produced an eye-catching debut effort over 1000m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. He received a bump leaving the start but once finding his feet, he finished off his race strongly. The son of Rabada would have gained from the experience and will love the rise to 1400m. If not too green around the turn, he should be the one to beat. 

STAR OF THE FUTURE jumped awkwardly leaving the start last time, but finished off his race nicely. The drop to 1400m is a slight concern, but he has the ability to fight out the finish. 

PRINCE FLORIAN was a tad disappointing in his last start over 1600m on the polytrack. His debut effort over this C&D was encouraging. He has been gelded, which may have done the trick. If jumping on terms, he should have a say in the outcome of this contest. 

Race 2

QONDANEKUKHANYENI was not disgraced when fourth against stronger over 1750m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville last time. She set the pace that day and stayed on at the finish. The daughter of Global View should be ideally suited to this distance. She drops back in class and can notch up her second- career victory. 

HODGEPODGE won a good race when shedding her maiden tag, against males over this C&D. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. She takes on stronger, but has plenty of scope and should be up to the task at hand. 

SPRING KISS has fair recent form lines to her name. She has won twice, finished second twice and third once from nine starts over this distance. The daughter of Querari should earn another cheque for her patrons. 

Race 3

RICHARDTHEFEARLESS showed very good improvement in his last start over 1600m on the polytrack. He found himself in front and fought hard all the way to the line. The son of William Longsword is having his peak run today and should be cherry-ripe. If seeing out the extra 200m on offer, he should win in this field. 

ONE ARMED BANDIT is lightly raced with decent form lines to his credit. The manner in which he finishes off his races suggests that he will love the rise to 1800m. Should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces. 

SILVER PLATTER found one too good in the form of Mr Fixit last time. He jumps from pole position and in this field, he should have a say in the outcome of this contest. 

Race 4

VIEW OF THE WORLD has good consistent form lines to his credit. He stayed on when third over 1900m on this course last time. It must be noted that Johnny The Thief has come out and won again since. The son of Ideal World should be ideally suited to this distance and from his good draw of three, he may find himself in the winner’s enclosure. 

NIGHTJAR ran a good race when fourth over 1600m on this course last time. He raced from a handy position and stayed on at the finish. He drops back in class and is one of the leading contenders. 

SHOTGUN WILLIE is inconsistent, but ran a fair race in his last start over 1600m on this course. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. He jumps from pole position and must be included in all bets. 

 

 

Race 5

PRANKSTER has not finished too far off the winner in recent outings. She stayed on when third over this distance at Hollywoodbets Scottsville last time. The daughter of Canford Cliffs carries a light mass with 4kgs claiming apprentice Mxolisi Mbuto aboard. She is having her first run on this course and if suited, she can return to winning ways. 

SWEET JULIA took on stronger in her last start over this distance on the polytrack. She has finished second once and third once from as many starts over this C&D. The blinkers have been removed and on best form shown, she should fight out the finish. 

HEREINAFTER finished 0.5 lengths behind the second choice last time. She is 4kgs worse off at the weights today and may have to settle for the same result. 

Race 6

GOOD TRAVELLER took on a competitive field over 1600m last time, which is not his ideal distance. He was in need of his penultimate start. He has won once and finished second twice from seven starts over this C&D. The 6yo gelding is having his peak run and from pole position, he can notch up his sixth- career victory. 

MR MASTER STARTER‘S last three starts have been good. It must be noted that Connery has come out and won again since. If not too far out of his ground turning for home, he should run a big race. 

KUPHOLIWE ran a fair race over this distance at Hollywoodbets Scottsville last time. He has won once and finished third once from as many starts over this C&D. With a bit of luck from his wide draw, he should earn another cheque. 

Race 7

IMPOSING was squeezed leaving the start last time, but the manner in which he stayed on at the finish was encouraging. He would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. He takes a drop in class and may find himself in the winner’s enclosure. 

GIAMBATTISTA produced a typical second run after a rest last time. He won his previous two starts on the polytrack. The 6yo gelding is suited to this course and cannot be ignored. 

IBUTHO should have finished closer to the winner last time. He was baulked for running room from the 200m mark to the finish. With a bit of luck in running, he should have a say in the outcome of this contest. 

Race 8

CELTIC CHIEF won a game race in his last start over this distance on the polytrack. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. He has won his only attempt on this course. He is in a good space and can follow up with another victory. 

BENNI IN THE AREA has good consistent form lines to his credit. He set the pace over this distance on the polytrack last time and found more to keep all challengers at bay. If bringing his polytrack form to the turf, he should be hard to peg back. 

KNIGHT WARRIOR won a good race in his last start over this distance on the polytrack. He received a five- pound penalty for that victory. He is in a good space and with luck in running, he can go close
