MILITARY COMMAND ran a fair race on debut over this C&D. He jumped awkwardly leaving the start, but stayed on at the finish. The son of Fire Away would have gained from the experience and if getting away to a clean start, he may find himself in the winner’s enclosure.

CASINO KING was in need of his debut effort over this C&D. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. The son of What A Winter would have come on from the run and with the natural improvement that is expected, he should have a say in the outcome of this contest.

ASHIKULE is an unraced son of Erupt from the Mike and Adam Azzie stable with Muzi Yeni in the saddle. He is related to multiple winners including Duke Of Africa and Andi’s Girl. If not too green in running, he should give a good account of himself. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to him and the other first timers.

Race 2

KAIBOY was not disgraced when fourth in the Non-Black Type Franschhoek Motor Museum Winchester Sprint Cup last time. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. He finished second in his only attempt over this C&D. Aldo Domeyer steps back into the saddle and if behaving himself in the lead up, he should take a power of beating.

SYMPHONY IN WHITE ran a fair race in the Listed SABC Olympic Duel Stakes last time. The daughter of What A Winter comes into this contest well-weighted and she should give the males a run for their money.

ROMAN AGENT is better than his last start. He has won once and finished third once from as many starts over this C&D. On best form shown, he should be involved in the fight to the finish.

Race 3

PAST AND PRESENT ran a good race when second over this C&D last time. He raced from a handy position before getting outrun late by Red Dawn. The son of Gimmethegreenlight is back in Maiden Company and he may be the one to beat.

UMFULA stayed on when second over 2000m on this course last time. The son of Canford Cliffs drops back to 1800m and he is one of the leading contenders.

DRICUS showed good improvement in his last start over 1400m on this course. He should have finished closer to the winner that day as he had to be switched for running room at the 200m mark. The son of Vercingetorix will strip much fitter and there may be more to come.

Race 4

BEER WITH THE BOYS finished 1.7 lengths behind ALADDIN’S LAMP last time. He is 3kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. He should be ideally suited to this distance and may be the one to side with.

ALADDIN’S LAMP was his own worst enemy over this C&D last time as he over raced in the early stages. He won a good race over 2000m on this course in his penultimate run. If finding the form of that outing, he should be involved in the fight to the finish.

TWO A PENNY produced a good second-place finish over this distance before given an 11-week break. She has won three times, finished second once and third once from seven starts over this C&D. With a bit of luck from the widest draw, she should give the males a run for their money.

 

 

Race 5

LEGAL COUNSEL won his last start with ease over 1400m on this course. He jumped inwards leaving the start, but showed a good turn of foot in the straight and drew off in the closing stages. The son of Legislate should have no issues with the rise to 1800m and if jumping on terms, he can follow up.

LA PULGA won his last start over this C&D easier than the official margin suggests. He received a five- pound penalty for that victory. He is likely to be settled near the rear of the field from the widest draw and will be doing his best work at the finish.

LIGHTNING GLOW ran a good race when third over 1400m last time. He raced from a handy position and stayed on at the finish. He has won once and finished third once from as many starts over this C&D. The son of Vercingetorix merits healthy respect.

Race 6

ISCHYRO is better than his last start over this C&D. He finished 0.75 lengths behind DREAM SEARCHER in his penultimate run. He is 7.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. If putting his best foot forward, he can return to winning ways.

NILE THE BOSS has fair consistent form lines to her credit. She finished 4.75 lengths behind DREAM SEARCHER in the race referred to above. She is 8.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough to turn the tables.

DREAM SEARCHER is a winner of her last two starts over this distance. She received an eight-pound penalty for her last victory. She is in a good space and can bring up the hat-trick.

Race 7

TOUGH TERRAIN should have finished closer to the winner last time as he had no luck in running. His penultimate run when third catches the eye. Craig Zackey is booked to ride and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of him where it matters most.

BLUFF ON BLUFF has good recent form lines to his name. He was running on when second over this C&D last time. The 6yo gelding is a consistent type and should pose a massive threat.

PORQUE TE VAS showed good speed when third over this C&D last time. Three of her five career victories have come over this C&D. Richard Fourie steps back into the saddle and the pair must be included in all bets.

Race 8

MISS MARGUERITE tried hard when fourth over 1200m on this course last time. She has won twice from four starts over this C&D. Craig Zackey is booked to ride and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of her where it matters most.

ARTISTE finished 0.05 lengths behind the top choice last time. She is 0.5kgs worse off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish.

KYALAMI GIRL is better than her last start in the Listed SABC Olympic Duel Stakes. She has won once and finished third once from three starts over this C&D. She runs well for Aldo Domeyer and she should find a form return
