Race 1

SAUDI SWEEP is lightly raced with decent form lines to her credit. She raced from a handy position over 1450m on the Classic course last time, but found one too good in the form of Greenhouse. She will strip fitter for this run and can go one better.

SONIC JET should have won her last start as she hung in the final 400m. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. Should the top choice fluff her lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces.

ASIAH‘S TIARA ran a good race on debut over 1450m on the Classic course. She finished 1.5 lengths behind the top choice that day. With the natural improvement that is expected, she should be competitive.

Race 2

HIGHVELD STORM has shown good improvement in his last two starts. He was reported to be lame on his left fore last time which makes the effort that much more encouraging. The 15-week break would have done him the world of good. If not in need of this outing, he should find himself in the winner’s enclosure.

ON TARGET ran a fair race on debut over 1200m on this course. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. The son of Lancaster Bomber should make the natural improvement.

MIZZEN SWORD‘S last three starts have been fair. The manner in which he finishes off his races suggests that he will enjoy the rise to 1400m. He can earn another cheque for his patrons.

Race 3

WE ARE THE LOGANS‘ last four starts have been good. He was running on when third over 1450m on the Turffontein Inside course last time. He should have no issues with the rise to 1700m and he can notch up his third-career victory.

PRESLEY did not enjoy the fitting of the blinkers last time and the equipment has been quickly removed. On his previous form, he should throw out a big challenge to the top choice.

FROZEN FANTASY showed some signs of needing her comeback run in the Grade 2 Betway Joburg Spring F & M Challenge. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. She will strip much fitter and with just 54kgs on her back, she should give the males a run for their money.

Race 4

WILD INTENT is lightly raced with good form lines to his credit. He should have finished closer last time as the pilot dropped his crop at the 350m mark. The son of Gimmethegreenlight is bred to enjoy the extra distance on offer and he may be the one to side with.

FUTUREWOLFF finished 4.5 lengths behind LUTHULI last time. He is 7kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned.

LUTHULI won a game race in his last start over this C&D. He received a six-pound penalty for that victory. Piere Strydom is booked to ride and the combination merit healthy respect.

Race 5

MAMBO COME TESIO‘S last two starts have been fair. He should have finished closer last time as his pilot dropped his reins at the 300m mark. He won his only attempt on this course. The son of Mambo In Seattle takes a drop in class and he may be the one to side with.

FUSHIMI INARI is his own worst enemy at the starting stalls. He has won once and finished second twice from seven starts on this course. If getting away to a clean start, he should be involved at the finish.

BANHA BRIDGE tired late over 2000m on the Classic course last time. He has won once and finished second twice from seven starts over this distance. Apprentice Trent Mayhew takes the 2.5kgs off his back which will assist his cause. The 8yo gelding should find a form return.

Race 6

ADDRESS THE NATION showed some signs of needing his comeback run over 1200m on the Turffontein Inside course last time. He would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. Apprentice Trent Mayhew takes the 2.5kgs off his back and in Handicap Company, he can win.

JOHNNY APPLESEED followed up his maiden win with a creditable fourth-place finish over this C&D. The son of Admiral Kitten has scope and is one of the leading contenders.

VAR PARK stayed on when second over this C&D last time. Piere Strydom is booked to ride and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of him where it matters most.

Race 7

FRANCINE produced an encouraging comeback run when fifth over this C&D last time. She jumped outwards leaving the start but stayed on nicely at the finish. The daughter of Silvano would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. It is encouraging that Gavin Lerena keeps faith in the ride and she can return to winning ways.

SO SEDUCTIVE showed good speed when winning her last start over 1100m on this course. She has won once and finished third once from as many starts over this distance. She is in a good space and merits healthy respect.

WHERE‘S THE PARTY finished 2.15 lengths behind the second selection last time. She is 3.5kgs better off at the weights today. On her previous form, she should be involved at the finish.

Race 8

STRIKING ANGEL showed good signs of a form return in her last start over this C&D. She took the lead at the 200m mark before getting outrun late by Francilien. She would have come on from the outing and should strip much fitter. If confirming her recent improvement, she can go one better in this line-up.

WE WILL ROCK YOU finished 0.75 lengths behind the top choice last time. She is 2.5kgs worse off at the weights today and may battle to turn the form around.

INVENTRIX won a game race in her last start over 1000m on the Classic course. She has won once, finished second twice and third once from five starts over this distance. She is in a good space and merits healthy respect
