Weather Forecast - Edinburgh

Scotland:

Scotland tuned up for this with a 57-17 victory over Fiji at Murrayfield last week. Darcy Graham scored 4 of their 8 tries in a one sided contest which saw the Scots easily cover a minus handicap of around 17.5 points.

Scotland's mid year tour of North and South America delivered wins over Canada (73-12), USA (42-7), Chile (52-11) and Uruguay (31-19). After this they host Portugal and they finish their year against the Wallabies.

In the 6 Nations earlier this year Scotland started with a win in Wales (27-26) and a home defeat to France (20-16). After that they won at home to England (30-21) but then went down in Italy (31-29) and Ireland (17-13).

South Africa:

The Boks arrive in Europe on the back of winning the Rugby Championship title.

They started with back to back wins over the Wallabies in Australia ( 30-12 and 33-7) and then beat the All Blacks in two close games on home turf, coming from behind on both occasions to win 18-12 in Cape Town and 31-27 in Johannesburg. Their only defeat

came in Argentina where they went down 29-28 to Los Pumas but a round later they beat the same opposition 48-7 in South Africa to clinch the title.

In July this year South Africa shared their 2 match home series against Ireland, winning the first test 27-20 but losing the second 25-24. They also ran out winners at home to Portugal 64-21.

South Africa now renew rivalry with the Scots whom they beat 18-3 victory in their first pool match of RWC23 in France last year and they went on to win the tournament. After this they will face England and then Wales

Betting Angle

Posted 09 Nov 08h56

The handicap has been fairly stable after the team announcements albeit Rassie has picked a South Africa team nobody would have predicted.

It is a strong team with a scary strong bench but I think they may be a bit vulnerable in the 1st half.

I am going to back the Scots to lead at halftime. There is 9/4 on offer at Boyles but I am going to take the draw out of the equation and will grab 18/10 draw no bet.
