There are 2 English Premier League fixtures taking place on Wednesday night and we suggest a bet in each.
MANCHESTER CITY v ASTON VILLA
Manchester City have won their last 5 matches and a win against Villa would see them go top of the table ahead of Manchester United by a point. They hammered Crystal Palace 4-0 on Sunday and their recent home form is excellent with 4 wins and a draw in their last 5 matches. Goals have not flowed that freely at City home games this season and the win over Palace was only the 3rd game in 9 that have delivered for those backing over 2.5 goals.
Aston Villa are 10th on the table, but with games in hand over the teams above them due to COVID-19 cancellations. Their last action was on New Year’s Day a 2-1 away loss to Manchester United and prior to that they had won 3 and drawn 2 of their previous 5 games. Villa’s away form has been good this season, winning 5 and drawing 1 of their 8 matches and 5 of the 8 Villa away games have had 3 goals or more in them.

Manchester City 3/10
Draw 5/1
Aston Villa 37/4
Suggested Bet: Total Goals Home Team Over 2.5 at 19/20
I mentioned when taking this bet when City hosted Palace that I thought the tide might be turning for them as far as goals go and I am willing to continue along that same line of thought. City are playing some great football and Villa will surely be a bit rusty coming into this one and last season over two matches, City scored 9 goals and conceded just 1 against Villa.
FULHAM v MANCHESTER UNITED
Assuming Manchester City go top of the table in the early kick-off, Manchester United will have a chance to bounce straight back when they visit Fulham.
Fulham have drawn 5 and lost 2 of their last 7 matches, most recently losing 1-0 at home to Chelsea. They have only won once at home in 9 matches this season, losing 5 and drawing 3.
United are coming off a goalless draw away at Liverpool, their away form has been very impressive this season with 7 wins and 2 draws in 9 matches although those 2 draws have come in their last 3 away games.
A quick look at the goals trends and Aston Villa home games averaged 3.7 goals each with 5 of the 7 delivering for over 2.5 goal backers while Manchester United away games also averaged 3.7 goals each with 7 of the 9 games reaching 3 goals or more.

Fulham 19/4
Draw 33/10
Manchester United 11/20
Suggested Bet: Over 3.5 goals at 33/20
Manchester United’s last 2 away games have been low scoring, but prior to that they have 7 successive games with 4 goals or more in them and rather than take the 7/10 over 2.5 goals I am sticking my neck out here and going for the bigger price in the hope of a goals fest.
