F 1 returns to Italy for the 3rd time this season for the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix taking place at the Imola Circuit. We take a look at the race from a betting angle.
Lewis Hamilton continued his dominance of the season at the Portuguese Grand Prix last week, not only winning the race, but also clocking pole position and the fastest lap. He was chased home by his teammate Valtteri Bottas with Max Verstappen finishing 3rd. Hamilton holds a virtually unassailable lead at the top of the Drivers Standings, a full 77 points ahead of Bottas with Verstappen 3rd at 17 points back.
It has been years since Imola has hosted a Grand Prix and so we have no recent course form to go on, but it would certainly take a brave man to back against the Mercedes and in particular Lewis Hamilton this weekend.
EMILIA ROMAGNA GRAND PRIX – Click here to bet
Lewis Hamilton 9/20
Valtteri Bottas 4/1
Max Verstappen 5/1
70/1 and better the balance
SUGGESTED BET: Max Verstappen win at 5/1
Verstappen has been the only driver to come close to ending the Mercedes domination and given that his price is 10 times that of Lewis Hamilton I am prepared to chance him this weekend. Verstappen has been incredibly consistent and although he has retired in 3 Grand Prix’s each other race that he has finished he has come in the Top 3. When you consider that this bet comes with the money back for 2nd place insurance with World Sports Betting it appeals even more as a value play.
SUGGESTED BET: Top 6 finish, Pierre Gasly at 28/10/20

Gasly was a shock winner earlier this season and he has been fairly consistent of late and his last 2 starts has seen him finish in the Top 6 which will be enough to deliver this bet at close to 3/1 odds.
Remember if you are placing a win bet on the Formula One Grand Prix you can take advantage of the money back for 2nd place special available at World Sports Betting. Details on the banner below.
