BettingDiarySouth Africa and England meet in the second T20 International in Paarl on Sunday with England looking to wrap up the series after winning the first match at Newlands on Friday night.

South Africa batted first at Newlands and put up a respectable 179 for 6 in their 20 overs. After the early loss of Bavuma, De Kock and Du Plessis played well with Du Plessis top scoring with 58 off 40 balls. Van Der Dussen and Klaasen also contributed towards the latter part of the innings although there was a feeling that South Africa needed a few more runs in the final 5 overs.

Sam Curran was the pick of the England bowlers with 3 for 28 in his 4 overs. There was also good spells from Archer and Rashid. England were in trouble early with Roy going for a duck and Butler also perished cheaply. The key partnership was between Bairstow and Stokes with Stokes eventually ending with 37 off 27 balls, but Man of the Match, Bairstow saw England home with an unbeaten 86 off just 48 balls.

For South Africa, Linde was impressive up front going at just 5 an over and picking up 2 wickets in his 4 overs, but Hendricks was a disappointment in his 4 overs getting pumped at 14 runs an over without picking up a wicket.

South Africa 29/20

England 4/7

Suggested Bet: Man of the Match, Quinton de Kock at 17/2

De Kock looked like he perhaps needed the run in the first innings and I am expecting the captain to step up to the plate in the second T20. This is a speculative play, but it is always good fun to be involved in this market especially if your pick does perform well.

Suggested Bet: Top Away Bowler, Archer at 12/5

Archer impressed me in the first T20 and I thought he was unfortunate not to pick up a few more sticks.
