PSL fans have no fewer than 7 matches to look forward to on Wednesday and we suggest a bet in each of them.
AMAZULU v BLACK LEOPARDS – Click here to bet
AmaZulu have taken 1 point from their opening two games and that was a 1-1 draw at home with Pirates. Last time out they lost 1-0 on the road to newcomers, TS Galaxy.
Black Leopards who narrowly avoided relegation last season have opened with successive losses, 3-1 at home to Baroka and 2-0 away at SuperSport United.
Betting:
AmaZulu 19/20
Draw 22/10
Leopards 33/10
Suggested Bet: AmaZulu win at 19/20
BAROKA v GOLDEN ARROWS – Click here to bet
Baroka are the early surprise package of the PSL and have won both their opening fixtures and sit top of the table. They beat Black Leopards 3-1 away last time out and Maritzburg United 2-1 at home in their opening match.
Golden Arrows are 3rd on the table with 4 points from two matches having beaten SuperSport United 3-1 at home in their last match and drawn 1-1 to Bloem Celtic in their opener. Arrows have won the last 3 League fixtures against Baroka by 1-0 margins on each occasion.
Betting
Baroka 31/20
Draw 7/4
Arrows 23/10
Suggested Bet: Both teams to score, YES, at 21/10
Baroka are flying high, but this will be a tough game for them to win. The bet I fancy is that both teams will find the net, something that has happened in all 4 of the matches these sides have been involved in to date.
BLOEM CELTIC v ORLANDO PIRATES – Click here to bet
Bloem Celtic are on 1 point after 2 matches and they lost 1-0 to newcomers, Swallows last time out and had previously drawn 1-1 at home to Golden Arrows. Orlando Pirates have played two 1-1 draws at home to Stellenbosch and away at AmaZulu.
Betting:
Bloem Celtic 49/20
Draw 2/1
Orlando Pirates 13/10
Suggested Bet: Pirates win at 13/10
Pirates have looked the more impressive of the two sides so far and I think they will bag their first win of the season.
CAPE TOWN CITY v SUNDOWNS – Click here to bet
Cape Town City sit 4th on the table having beaten Maritzburg United 1-0 away and drawn 1-1 at home to Chippa United. They are level on points with Sundowns who are 2nd on the table having drawn 0-0 at home to Tshakhuma and beaten Kaizer Chiefs 3-0 away in the season opener. Cape Town City have an impressive record against Sundowns and haven't lost in their last 3 PSL matches against them.
Betting:
Cape Town City 31/10
Draw 39/20
Sundowns 11/10
Suggested Bet: Cape Town City win at 31/10
As impressive as Sundowns were in their opening match I think they are going to be vulnerable against a Cape Town City side which has done well against them in the past and this price looks too big.
KAIZER CHIEFS v TS GALAXY – Click here to bet
Chiefs got their first win of the season when they beat Chippa United 1-0 last time out and that was after they were beaten 3-0 by Mamelodi Sundowns in the season opener.
TS Galaxy has made a strong start to their PSL life with a 1-0 home win over AmaZulu and a 1-1 draw against fellow newcomers Tshakhuma away.
Betting
Kaizer Chiefs 13/20
Draw 51/20
TS Galaxy 19/4
Suggested Bet: Handicap, Kaizer Chiefs (-1) at 19/10
For this bet to arrive Chiefs must win by more than a goal and although they are off to a slow start I think they are going to start improving under Gavin Hunt.
SUPERSPORT UNITED v STELLENBOSCH – Click here to bet
SuperSport United were beaten 3-1 on the road by Golden Arrows last time out and that after opening their campaign with a 2-0 win over Black Leopards. They now host Stellenbosch who have drawn their opening fixtures 1-1 away at Pirates and at home to Swallows.
Betting:
SuperSport United 15/20
Draw 12/5
Stellenbosch 17/4
Suggested Bet: The draw at 12/5
SuperSport look a bit short for me in this fixture and I think Stellenbosch can make it 3 draws from 3 starts against a side they performed well against last season.
TSHAKHUMA v SWALLOWS – Click here to bet
Tshakhuma have drawn both their opening matches, goalless away at Sundowns and 1-1 at home to TS Galaxy. They face fellow newcomers Swallows who beat Bloem Celtic 1-0 last time out and drew their opening fixture 1-1 at Stellenbosch. These sides met in the GladAfrica Championship, but last season with the home team winning on each occasion.
Betting:
Tshakhuma 17/10
Draw 7/4
Swallows 21/10
Suggested Bet: Swallows win at 21/10
I was impressed by Swallows last week and think they can make it two wins on the trot.
