BettingDiaryWe take a look at some of the sports betting opportunities available to punters on Thursday in our Daily Diary.

FOOTBALL

The Europa League continues on Thursday night with plenty of fixtures for punters to get stuck into.

Manchester United currently top Group L with 2 wins and a draw and they will be looking to extend their lead when they host FK Partizan and they are 4/10 for the victory with the draw 16/5 and the visitors 15/2. We fancy a comfortable win for United and you can get them on the handicap of (-1), meaning they have got to win by 2 goals or more at a current price of 23/20.

Wolves are also priced at 4/10 to win their match at home to Slovan Bratislava who are 15/2 for the win. Wolves are currently 2nd in the Group, 2 points ahead of their opponents and a victory here would go a long way towards ensuring their qualification for the knock-out stages.

Group J certainly looks as one of our more competitive Groups with Roma currently on 5 points, a point clear of Basaksehir and Wolfsberger, both on 4. Borussia Monchengladbach is just 3 points off the gallop and a victory at home to Roma tomorrow night would put them right into the mix. They are 21/20 to do just that with Roma 47/20 and the draw 27/10.

The other match in the Group also looks competitive with Wolfsberger 11/10 to see off Basaksehir who are 47/20 with the draw 51/20.

GOLF

The European Tour continues with the Turkish Airlines Open and Justin Rose is a single digit favourite at 9/1 at the time of writing ahead of American, Patrick Reed 12/1 and Tyrrell Hatton 18/1, you can get 21/1 and better the balance.

Looking at South African interest, Erik van Rooyen is 28/1 a win and 11/2 a Top 5 finish and George Coetzee who looks to be returning to form is 40/1 a win and 8/1 for a Top 5, the same price as Christiaan Bezuidenhout.

If you want to confine your interest just to the South Africans you can get 5/2 that van Rooyen finishes Top South African, 3/1 Bezuidenhout, 7/2 George Coetzee. Justin Harding who hasn’t been at his best of late is 13/2 and Sterne, Walters and Lombard also quoted.

TENNIS

The ATP Next Generation Finals continue and there is Television coverage and you can click here for all ATP Odds.

CRICKET

India v Bangladesh 2nd T20 takes place on Thursday and India are to be as expected 1/6 favourites with Bangladesh 9/2. The bet we fancy here is Mahmudullah to be top away batsman at 4/1.

HORSE RACING

Local Horse Racing takes place at the Turffontein Inside Track on Thursday with an 8 race card getting going at 13:10 and scheduled to finish at 17:20.

Poppycock should be well backed in the 2nd Race, Horse No. 1 currently priced at 12/10 a win and 1/5 a Top 3 finish. There are no obvious Pick Six bankers on the cards although Horse No. 6 in the 6th Race, Spero Optima may well be worth the gamble at a current price of 15/10 and overall the card has a very open look to it.
