Kaizer Chiefs take on Orlando Pirates in the PSL and in the English Premier League we have a top of the table clash between Liverpool and Manchester City on what looks to be a busy sports betting weekend. We take a look at the highlights in our Weekend Diary.
FOOTBALL
There are a number of PSL matches taking place this weekend, but the highlight without doubt is the big Soweto Derby between Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates on Saturday afternoon. Chiefs are flying high at the top of the table and have won their last 5 matches whereas Orlando Pirates have only 1 of their last 5 and currently sit 12 points behind Chiefs in 7th, both teams having played 10 games.
The sides met last weekend in the Telkom Knock Out with Chiefs prevailing on penalties, both teams were in action in midweek with Chiefs beating Chippa United 2-0 on the road and Orlando Pirates drawing 0-0 at home to Maritzburg United.
These very seldom very much to separate these sides, but the way Kaizer Chiefs are playing we are very happy to back them at 39/20 with the draw on offer at 19/10 and Pirates 33/20. We actually feel that these two sides should be switched around in the betting.

There is a full house of English Premier League action on the weekend and Leicester are a popular choice to beat Arsenal at 21/20 at home.
The big game though takes place on Sunday evening and it is Liverpool against Manchester City. Liverpool are currently 6 points clear of 2nd place City and they have won 4 and drawn 1 of their last 5 with Manchester City having won 4 out of 5 as well, but also having lost one of their last 5 games. Liverpool had to come back from behind in the last 10 minutes to beat Villa 2-1 away last week and City beat Southampton 2-1 at home.
This fixture was drawn 0-0 last season and the season before that Liverpool won at home 4-3. Bookmakers are struggling to separate the sides with Liverpool 33/20, the draw 26/10 and Manchester City 16/10. As far as the goal markets go, over 2.5 goals at 6/10 and over 3.5 goals trading at 14/10. We can’t help but feel that Liverpool offer some value at home at 33/20.

RUGBY
Both South African sides, the Kings and the Cheetahs are in action in Europe in the Pro 14 on Saturday with the Kings rank outsiders away to Ospreys at (+16.5). The Cheetahs though have been a warm order with punters this week and having opened slight underdogs have been backed into 17/20 favourites at Cardiff.
