Tuesday 12th May Gujarat Titans vs Sunrisers Hyderabad

Venue: Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad

Match Result Betting: Gujarat Titans 23/20 Sunrisers Hyderabad 7/10

The Titans are on a roll, working their way up the standings on the back of 4 straight wins and overall they have now won 7 and lost 4. GT were in action away to the Royals last weekend and they came out on top by 77 runs. Shubman Gill hit 84 in their bat first total of 229/4 and Rashid Khan (4/33) and Jason Holder (3/12 in 2.3 overs) strangled the Rajasthan run chase.

The Sunrisers have also won 7 and lost 4 of their matches and they have a better net run rate than the Titans. Last time out they beat Punjab Kings by 33 runs in a home fixture last Wednesday. They posted 235/4 batting first with Klaasen (69) and Kishan (55) the top scorers and Pat Cummins with 2/34 was the pick of their bowlers as PK’s run chase was kept at bay.

This should be a decent contest and I’m with Pat Cummins to be the Sunrisers top bowler.

Bets: Sunrisers top wicket taker Pat Cummins at 3/1 with WSB

Wednesday 13th May Royal Challengers Bengaluru vs Kolkata Knight Riders

Venue: Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium, Raipur

Match Result Betting: Royal Challengers Bengaluru 0.67/1 Kolkata Knight Riders 12/10

RCB were in action against Mumbai at this venue on Sunday, the game went down to the final ball and RCB got up to win by 2 wickets. Mumbai posted 166/7 with Kumar (4/23) the outstanding RCB bowler. AT 39/3 RCB were in trouble in the chase but Krunal Pandya hit 73 and batsmen 9 and 10 got their side home, 167/8. That win took RCB to the top of the standings at the start of this week, they have the best net run rate of the 3 teams with an overall record of 7 wins and 4 defeats.

KKR’s most recent outing saw them thrash the Capitals by 8 wickets in Delhi, their fourth win in succession to continue their revival. Chasing 143 for victory Finn Allen smashed 10 maximums in a 47 ball century to get KKR home in just 14.2 overs. The Knight Riders continue to nudge their way up the standings and their overall record now comprises of 4 wins, 1 no result and 5 defeats.

Reports that RCB didn’t have much time to assess the Raipur conditions before the Mumbai game mean they ought to be much wiser for this second match at this venue and although KKR deserve respect for the way they have turned their tournament around, I’m with RCB to hit the most sixes.

Bets: RCB to hit the most sixes at 5/6 with Sportingbet

Thursday 14th May Punjab Kings vs Mumbai Indians

Venue: Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium, Dharamsala

Match Result Betting: Punjab Kings 8/10 Mumbai Indians even money

Punjab went down to Delhi Capitals by 3 wickets at this venue on Monday, the first match of the tournament at Dharamsala. Batting first Punjab posted 210/5 (Iyer 59, Arya 56) and they had Delhi in all sorts of trouble at 33/3 but the Capitals middle order got them home with an over to spare. Arshdeep Singh with 2/21 was the pick of the Punjab bowlers. That was a fourth straight defeat for Punjab who’s record now comprises of 6 wins, 4 defeats and 11 no result.

Mumbai’s 2 wicket defeat in a nail-biting contest away to RCB on Sunday leaves them stuck on 3 wins alongside 8 defeats. They posted 166/7 against RCB with Tilak Varma (57) and Nasan Dhir (47) the top scorers but despite Corbin Bosch returning figures of 4/26 RCB got up off the final delivery of the match.

When these teams met in Mumbai in Match 26 Punjab Kings chased down MI’s 195/6 in 16.3 overs for a 7 wicket win.

Mumbai are no longer in contention for the play offs but after a great start Punjab Kings are out of form so where to go here has me scratching me head but I’ll settle for a couple of sixes from Rohit..

Bets: Rohit Sharma 2 or more sixes at 23/20 with Lucky Fish
