Friday 8th May Delhi Capitals v Kolkata Knight Riders

Venue: Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi

Match Result Betting: Capitals 9/10 Knight Riders 19/20

Delhi’s latest outing was also a home fixture at this venue but it didn’t go to plan as they went down to CSK by 8 wickets. They posted 155/7 Stubbs (38), Rizvi (40 not out) which was chased down in 17.3 overs. The Capitals now have a record 4 wins and 6 defeats as they prepare to take on KKR for the first time this season. Delhi have played 5 matches at this venue, they beat Mumbai in the first of those games but have since lost each of the last 4.

The Knight Riders are still in the lower reaches of the log but they are improving and their record now comprises of 3 wins, 1 no result and 5 defeats. They failed to win any of their first 6 matches before pulling off an upset at home to the Royals, following up in a Super Over win away to LG and most recently they tuned the Sunrisers over by 7 wickets in Hyderabad. KKR bowled the Sunrisers out for 165 (Chakaravarthy 3/36) and Rahane (43) and Raghuvanshi (59) top scored in a chase that was completed in 18.2 overs.

Delhi can blow hot and cold but although KKR have found their form my gut feel is that the Caapitals will come out on top and I will keep it simple.

Bets: Delhi Capitals to win at 9/10 with Lucky Fish

Saturday 9th May Rajasthan Royals v Gujarat Titans

Venue: Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur

Match Result Betting: Royals 15/20 Titans 11/10

The Royals have not been seen in action since 1st May when they went down to Delhi Capitals at this venue by 7 wickets. They posted 225/6 (Parag 90, Jurel 42, Ferreira 47 not out) but the Capitals chased it down with 5 balls to spare. The Royals now have a record of 6 wins and 4 defeats, they visited the Titans in Match 9 and they defended 210/6 for a 6 run victory.

The Titans are building momentum and they have won each of their last 3, at Chennai, at home to RCB and most recently they beat Punjab Kings by 4 wickets in another home game. They restricted Punjab to 163/9 (Holder 4/24) and Sudharsan (57) and Sundar (40 not out) got them over the line with 1 ball to spare. GT now have an overall record of 6 wins and 4 defeats.

In the 2 previous matches at this venue bat first totals of 228 and 225 by the Royals were both chased down. I view this as more of a choice game and hence odds against for another Titans win does make a reasonable amount of appeal.

Bets: Titans to win at 11/10 with Pokerbet

Sunday 10th May Chennai Super Kings v Lucknow Super Giants

Venue: MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai

Match Result Betting: CSK 15/20 LSG 11/10

CSK come into this game with a record of 5 wins and 5 defeats. They have just completed back to back wins at home to Mumbai by 8 wickets and away to Delhi Capitals, also by 8 wickets. Sanju Samson’s unbeaten 81 supported by Kartik Sharma (41 not out) saw CSK home chasing 156 for victory in Delhi. CSK now take on LSG who they will also visit next week.

The Super Giants hosted RCB on Thursday and they came through with a much needed 9 run victory in a game reduced to 19 overs per side. Mitch Marsh cracked 11 off 56 balls in LSG’s bat first total of 209/3. The DSL target was then revised to 213 for RCB’s chase which came up just short on 203/6 and Prince Yadav with 3/33 was the pick of the LSG bowlers. That was just the third win of the tournament for LSG (alongside 7 defeats) but they remain at the foot of the standings.

The two most recent matches at this venue have seen a couple of low totals posted and chased down with some ease. Noor Ahmad (2/26) was excellent in the win over MI at this ground recently and could provide the answer in the top CSK bowler market

Bets: Top CSK bowler Noor Ahmad at 31/10 with Sportingbet

Sunday 10th May Royal Challengers Bengaluru v Mumbai Indians

Venue: Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium, Raipur

Match Result Betting: RCB 7/10 Mumbai 23/10

RCB missed the chance to go top of the standings in that 9 run (DLS) defat at LSG on Thursday.  Super Giants on Thursday and we will update this preview nearer to match day. Their chase started badly, 2 wickets down with just 9 runs on the board before Patidar (61) and Tim David (40) put them back in with some sort of chance but the finishers Pandya and Shepherd had too much ground to make up. RCB’s record now comprise of 6 wins and 4 defeats and at the time of writing only 2 points separate the top 5 sides.

After 3 straight defeats Mumbai returned to the winners box with a 6 wicket home win over LSG last time out. Chasing 229 for victory Rickleton (83) and Rohit Sharma (84) put on 143 for the first stick and MI got home in 18.4 overs. That was just a third win of the season for Mumbai who have lost their other 7 matches including an 18 run defeat at home to RCB in Match 20.

This is the first match at Raipur so I assume a fresh deck and scope for 3 or more milestones for the batsman.

Bets: Total Batsman Milestones (50's/100's) 3 or more at 21/20 with Lucky Fish
