IPL starts on Saturday 28th March and we will keep this thread for all bets throughout the tournament.

Put a brief article together to cover the first 5 matches, 28th March to 1st April which sees all the teams get one game under their belt. Will add some more picks in due course, nothing to adventurous for me for now.

Head, Abhishek, Kishan, Klaasen. More than enough fire power for the above bets, reckon pitch won't be full of tricks either. Both bowling lineups missing a few key bowlers.

Pitch and conditions | Kevin Pietersen and Danny Morrison: 65 meters on one side, 64 on the other. 73 meters down the ground. Weather conditions are good. Set for a lovely, lovely, lovely batting display. The surface has got a beautiful covering of grass. Yes there are a few of bare patches. Do I think they will make too much of an impact - I'm not so sure. You see the size of these players, the muscles of these players, the sizes of their bats

MI v KKR
MI has a superior record in this fixture at the Wankhede and should win, but 5/10 doesn't excite in T20 cricket.
SKY top MI bat & MI to win 9/2 @ Sunbet

QDK and Rohit have struggled against Narine in the past, it might be worth a risk for KKR to open the bowling with Narine. MI might also decide to rather select Rickelton instead of QDK so check team news first. I suspect Rickelton will get the nod. 

MI to lose a wicket in the first over - 13/4 @ WSB

Not sure what the rules are about this bet, but Sunbet currently offers a market: Next Batter Out KKR Wicket One. Odds as follow: Finn Allen 15/10, Sunil Narine 47/100. It has been confirmed that Allen and Rahane will open with Cam Green to come in at first drop, so Narine will most probably bat anything from 7 or lower. Will the bet be null and void come the KKR iinnings or will only the Allen bets have a chance of winning? Would appreciate if anyone can clear this up.

RR  v  CSK

When these sides met here last season they managed 17 sixes. They have added Samson and Veer and Hetmyer is in much better form then last season so taking on the sixes line.  Overton can be a little wild and I expect a few leg bye fours off Archer and Burger. Last season 26 wickets fell in the two matches here so taking a bowler MOM for a few beers.

Going to be a very long season for CSK. They look rubbish.

PJKS  v  GT

Not a fan of this ground. Seen 420 runs scored for 11 wickets (same pitch being used today) and 206 for 20 wickets. Never know what you are going to get. Taking PJKS on the odds and I prefer their bowling line-up.  Taking Arshdeep as this ground generally favours pace.

Basically treading water here - make one/lose one. Decided to go one bet or three bets

LSG  v  DC
Pace gets wickets at twice the rate of spin on the red pitches and I like the look of that DC's pace attack. Looking forward to seeing Nabi  with  Ngidi and Natarajan being proven wicket takers. Expect the majority of overs to be pace so will take extra's. With Kuldeep backing up the above trio I have to take DC even though that top four for LSG looks scary.

KKR  v  SRH

Understand they will be on the same pitch used when New Zealand beat us up in the T20 semi. Produced 342 runs and 20 sixes. I think the bowling attacks of KKR and SRH are worse then SA and NZ so expect more runs and more boundaries. Certainly favour SRH in the sixes market which makes me believe KKR wiil take the fours.

KKR  v  PBKS

Fours and Sixes lines well set for me so heading to extra/s. PBKS have wicket takers in Singh, Jansen and Bartlett but they are inclined to spray a few. They have conceded 14 and 17 extra's in their first two matches. Also think the IPL generally and the commentators particularly underrate Blessing who has consistently taken wickets over the years.

RR  v  MI
Pitch played up a little in the last match where CSK were done for 127. Word is it sweated under the covers. Early rain forecast today but should be clear by start which means the pitch will be under cover before the match again. Certainly want to bat second here.
