2025 was a year to forget for me, my 2nd losing year in 12 and having done some reflection I think it was a case of trying to chase when under pressure but also betting on too many games – at time I just stopped enjoying it.
2026 Strategy
This year I plan to be more focused on key games and taking doubles and trebles at small stakes on games where I want an interest but don’t have a strong fancy. I also plan on mixing things up a bit and for example am really enjoying the SA20 for a change of pace.

Weekend Plays
I got off to a flyer on Friday night hitting the Bath HT Cap and the Bulls on the board at a juicy 4/1. I have seen this movie before though and a good Friday night can be forgotten in a flash with heaps of games still to come. DSG host top of the table Paarl today in a game the hosts must win to stay alive. Baartman has been on fire but so has Sikander Raza a player I had never laid eyes on before this season. He has taken 13 wickets already this season and he is a real handful in the middle overs.
