Winning Form selections for Fairview on Friday 19th December where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter @Hollywoodbets Punters Challenge

RACE 1

This is the first juvenile race in the Eastern Cape and the betting market will be the best guide. FIRST OFFICER from the Alan Greeff stable is a son of Querari with Richard Fourie in the saddle. His mother, On Captain’s Side was a four-time winner from 1000m to 1250m. If not in need of the run, he should start his career on a positive note.

JUST CARTER is a son of Hawwaam from the Dean Smith yard and Calvin Habib is booked to ride. He is related to two-time winner Get Carter. If not too green in running, he should produce a positive showing.

WILD STAR hails from the Sharon Kotzen stable and she is a daughter of Canford Cliffs. She is related to multiple winners including Pointer and Got The Feeling. If not in need of the outing, she should give a good account of herself.

RACE 2

OCEAN FLAME ran a fair race over 1200m on this course last time. She finished 0.75 lengths behind PRICELESS TREASURE in her penultimate outing. She is 6kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. The manner in which she finishes off her races suggests that she will love the rise to 1400m. If all goes according to plan, she can shed her maiden tag.

PRICELESS TREASURE has finished second in her last two starts after returning from a 17-week break. She tries the 1400m for the first time and if seeing out the extra distance on offer, she should pose a threat.

LAYDELAY has had excuses in her last two starts in the Western Cape. It must be noted that the horse that finished second in her last start has come out and won since. She is making her local debut with Richard Fourie in the saddle, and there should be good improvement to come from her.

RACE 3

TERMINAL VELOCTIY was doing her best work late when third over 1600m last time. She was reported to be fatigued that day. She was beaten a head in her penultimate outing over this C&D. The daughter of Global View meets the right field and she is the horse to beat.

OH MANDY finished nicely when second over 1600m last time. The daughter of Rafeef should enjoy the step up to 2000m. If Wayne Agrella is able to switch her off early, she should fight out the finish.

RED LHASA‘S last two starts on this course have been moderate. She gets the services of 4kgs claiming Apprentice Bavish Soodoo which will assist her cause. If seeing out the 2000m, she should have a say in the outcome of this contest.

RACE 4

HENRY‘S HEDGE has produced decent form lines since winning his maiden over 2000m on the turf. He should have finished closer to the winner over 2400m last time. The son of Louis The King drops back in class. Chad Little is likely to use his early gate speed to overcome the widest draw without using up too much energy. The combination may be hard to peg back.

DOWNING SEVEN stayed on nicely when second over this C&D last time. He gets the services of 4kgs claiming Apprentice Girish Dookhit and jumps from pole position. Should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.

BLACKBERRY BREEZE has decent recent form lines to his name. He was running on when second over 1600m last time. The son of Silvano merits healthy respect.

RACE 5

EAST COAST GIRL has good recent form lines to her credit. She raced from a handy position over this C&D last time, but found one too good in the form of Royal Kingdom. The tongue-tie has done the trick on the daughter of Querari. Calvin Habib rides from a good draw of four, and she is the horse to beat.

BACK FOR MORE ran a good race when second over 1900m on this course last time. Two of her three career victories have come over this distance. Should the top choice fluff her lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces.

LADY BOMBER has produced two good second place finishes since winning her maiden over 1300m on this course. She finished second in her only attempt over this C&D. She is in a good space and cannot be discounted.

Race 6

WALKONTHEWILDSIDE has consistent form lines to her name. She stayed on when fourth over this C&D last time. The daughter of Gimmethegreenlight is back in Handicap company. If not too far out of her ground turning for home, she can notch up her fourth-career victory.

DYNALLEY was touched off in his last start over this C&D. He has finished second three times and third once from as many starts over this C&D. Wayne Agrella retains the ride, and he should fight out the finish.

KINGDOM OF HEAVEN finished 0.5 lengths behind the second selection last time. He is 0.5kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish.

RACE 7

ABOVE THE HORIZON‘S last three starts against stronger company have been fair. He received a bump leaving the start last time, but stayed on at the finish. The son of Horizon drops in class and can notch up his third-career victory.

KING‘S SAILOR won a game race over 1300m on this course, last week Friday. He is clearly in a good space and if this run has not come too soon, he should be involved at the finish.

SILENT TRIGGER has shown signs of needing his two local efforts. It must be noted that Royal Kingdom has come out and won again since. The 7yo gelding has won over this distance previously. He will be at peak fitness and should have a say in the outcome of this contest.

RACE 8

HAZE AND SMOKE was not disgraced when fourth in a Novice Plate over 1400m on this course last time. The daughter of Potala Palace should be ideally suited to this distance. She returns to Handicap company and from her good draw of four, she may be the one to side with.

ALEX MILLER stayed on when fourth over 1200m on this course last time. She finished 1.6 lengths behind KILMONIVAIG last time. She is 6kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. The obvious concern is the widest draw. With luck in running, she should be involved at the finish.

QUEEN OF JAZZ has shown good improvement in her last two starts. The daughter of Global View has dropped to a competitive rating. Calvin Habib may be able to coax that little bit extra out of her where it matters most
