OLAF THE STOUT was an easy winner when shedding his maiden tag over this C&D, eight weeks ago. The son of Erik The Red would have strengthened up during his time off the track. He is a progressive type and can follow up with another victory.
FIRST OFFICER is the stable companion of the top choice. He was not disgraced when third in the Listed East Cape Nursery over this C&D last time. The son of Querari has ability and may be the one to fill the exacta spot.
JUST CARTER finished 6.5 lengths behind the second selection last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and he may have to settle for the same result.
RACE 3
ONE TOO MANY stayed on when 2.1 lengths behind Das Gute last time. The 7yo gelding gets the cheekpieces fitted which should keep his mind on the task at hand. Trainer Kelly Mitchley is in fine form, and he may be the one to beat.
REAL WAR found one too good in the form of Warrior Of Royalty last time. Both his career victories have come over this distance. Xolani Ndlovu retains the ride and if confirming his recent improvement, he should pose a threat.

STONE OF SCONE is better than her last start on the polytrack. She was touched off when second over this C&D in her penultimate outing. She jumps from a good draw of four and if finding the form of that effort, she may find herself in the winner’s enclosure.

RACE 5
SHOW OFF is having his first run in the Eastern Cape for Trainer Cliffie Miller. He is much better than his last start over 1800m. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. His form prior to that outing was good. He should get an ideal run in transit from Barrier Three and if settled into his new surroundings, he can return to winning ways.
