Winning Form selections for racing from Turffontein on Saturday 10th October where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter @Hollywoodbets Punters Challenge

Race 1

This is a competitive Maiden Plate and caution is advised. The tentative first selection is SKITT SMILING. The son of Skitt Skizzle is a progressive type and has produced three good runs to date. Raymond Danielson is booked to ride and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of him where it matters most.

BLUNDERBORE took time to find his feet on debut, but stayed on to finish third. The son of Malmoos would have gained from the experience and should love the rise to 1450m. With the natural improvement that is expected, he should be competitive.

STORMACT stayed on when fourth over 1200m on this course last time. The son of Declarationofpeace will appreciate the rise to 1450m and he should be involved.

Race 2

CHAMPAGNE AIR did not go on with the effort over 1450m last time. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. The daughter of Gimmethegreenlight has scope and if seeing out the mile, she can shed her maiden tag in this line-up.

ALITTLEBITOFLOVE stayed on when third over this distance at the Vaal last time. The daughter of Master Of My Fate is having her peak run and should be cherry-ripe. Should the top choice fluff her lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces.

KNOCKIN‘ BOOTS finished 2.75 lengths behind the second selection last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and she may have to settle for the same result.

Race 3

GREEN FAIRWAY produced a promising debut effort over 1450m on this course. He was slow into stride, but the manner in which he finished off his race was eye-catching. The son of Gimmethegreenlight would have gained from the experience and should love the rise to 1600m. With the natural improvement that is expected, he should take a power of beating.

GREAT RIFT VALLEY stayed on when fourth over 1450m on this course on debut. He returns from a 30-week break, during which time he was gelded. If not in need of the outing, he should run a big race.

SECRET GETAWAY finished 3 lengths behind the top selection on debut. The son of Gimmethegreenlight took time to find his feet that day, but stayed on at the finish. He would have come on from the run and should make the natural progression.

Race 4

HAZY DAZY is the top bet on the programme. She moved up well in the Grade 2 Betway Joburg Spring F & M Challenge last time before getting caught late by Flower Island. The daughter of Act Of War would have come on from the run. She is the class horse in this contest and should find herself in the winner’s enclosure.

INTO DANCING found extra to win her last start over 1700m at the Vaal. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. The daughter of Ideal World may be the one to fill the exacta spot.

SCARLET O’HARA is the stable companion of the second choice. She was an easy winner of her last start over 1800m on the Vaal Classic course. Jeffrey Syster knows her well and the combination merit healthy respect.

Race 5

GRISELDA is much better than her last start in the Grade 2 Allan Robertson Championship as she was reported to be not striding out. The daughter of Erik The Red returns from a 20-week break, during which time she would have strengthened up. She is a filly with class about her and with just 53.5kgs on her back, she can win on her seasonal debut.

GIMME A VODKA is the stable companion of the top choice. He returns from a 24-week break, during which time he was gelded. He has shown promise in his form to date and if fit, he should have a say in the outcome of this contest.

YIPPEE KIYAY returns from an 18-week break and makes his seasonal debut. The son of Buffalo Bill Cody is unbeaten from two starts over this distance. Callan Murray retains the ride and if fit, he can show good improvement.

Race 6

RADIO STAR showed good signs of a form return in his seasonal debut over 1450m on this course. He finished 4.55 lengths behind CALLA LAGOON that day. He is 6kgs better off at the weights which is enough to turn the form around. The son of Fire Away will love the rise to 1600m, should strip fitter and may be hard to peg back.

CALLA LAGOON was an easy winner of his last start over 1450m on this course. He received a three-pound penalty for that victory. The imported son of New Bay is in a good space and merits healthy respect.

KING HARALD finished 4.25 lengths behind the second selection last time. He is 4kgs better off at the weights today and should finish closer as a result.

Race 7

PROTECTOR OF PEACE produced a good local debut when third over 1200m on this course. It must be noted that Little Boy Blue has come out and won again since. The son of Royal Mo will enjoy the rise to 1450m and with luck in running, he may be the one to beat.

WALKINGINTHEWOODS was an easy winner on debut over 1200m on the Vaal Classic course. He returns from a 10-week break, during which time he would have strengthened up. The son of One World could be anything and he can remain unbeaten.

NEVER NEVER LAND stayed on when fourth over 1200m on this course last time. He would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. Apprentice Qiniso Ngcobo takes the 4kgs off which will assist his cause.

Race 8

IDEAL SUMMER was not beaten far in his last two starts over 1600m. It must be noted that the horse that finished fourth in his last outing has come out and won since. The son of Ideal World has dropped in the ratings and Apprentice Blaine Marx-Jacobson may be able to coax that little bit extra out of him where it matters most.

CULTURATI stayed on when fourth over 2400m at the Vaal last time. His record over this distance is an obvious concern, but on best form shown, he would not be a surprise winner.

ONE EYE ON DUBAI was an easy winner when shedding his maiden tag over 2000m at the Vaal last time. The imported son of Almanzor takes on stronger, but he has plenty of scope and should be up to the task at hand.

RACE 9

KNOWMORE challenged strongly over 1600m on this course last time, but found one too good in the form of Palace Attack. He has won once and finished second twice from as many starts on this course. He is in a good space and can go one better.

NARETOI ran a good race when second over this C&D last time. He meets a similar line-up and with Richard Fourie in the saddle, he should pose a massive threat.

STEEL SPRING was caught late when third over this C&D last time. He finished 0.05 lengths behind the second choice that day. He is 0.5kgs worse off at the weights today and may have to settle for the same result
