Bulls:
The Bulls remain in eighth position with 7 wins alongside 6 defeats and with 35 log points they are just ahead of Connacht on points difference whilst looking up they are 6 points shy of a top 4 spot.
The Bulls hosted Cardiff last week and they came through with a 40-7 bonus point win, easily covering a handicap of around -20.5 points.
Prior to that they had been gaining momentum with wide margin derby wins over the Lions and the Sharks before they came unstuck at home to the Stormers.
Earlier matches against Irish opposition this season saw the Bulls beat Leinster 39-31 at Loftus in Round 2, they went down 28-7 away to Ulster in Round 3 and in Round 4 they edged out Connacht in Galway 28-27.
After this the Bulls tour Wales to take on the Dragons and Scarlets before they finish up at home to Zebre and Benetton. In the outright betting to win the URC title the Bulls are 7/1 with Hollywoodbets
Munster:
Munster remain sixth in the standings with a record of 8 wins and 5 defeats. They have 39 log points, 1 fewer than fifth place Cardiff and 2 shy of fourth placed Leinster but the advantage they held over the Bulls has now been reduced to just 4 points.
Munster’s first SA tour match saw them take on the Sharks in Durban last week, they started as underdogs although the main handicap line was in single digits but they never got into the game and the Sharks cruised to a 45-0 victory.
Other recent results include a home win over Zebre (21-7) at the end of last month whilst at the end of January they lost 31-22 to the Warriors in Glasgow.
One earlier match against South African opposition saw Munster go down 26-21 at home to the Stormers in Round 6 and in Round 18 they will host the Lions.
