Weather Forecast – Dublin

Ireland:

Ireland have won 2 and lost 1 of their matches and with 9 log points they are third in the standings, 2 points behind Scotland and 6 shy of France.

Round 3 saw Ireland take on England at Twickenham, they were given around 11.5 points start on the bookmakers main handicap line and they didn’t need any of it as they came away with a record braking 42-21 win. Ireland led 22-7 at half time and they scored 3 tries in the first half and 2 in the second securing a bonus point.

Ireland had opened their account in Round 2 with a 20-13 win over Italy in Dublin and it was hard work as they had to come from 10-5 down at half time and dig deep for the win but they came up short of a bonus point.

Ireland were given around 13.5 points tart on the bookmakers main handicap line for their Round 1 clash with France in Paris and that wasn’t enough as they finished well beaten 36-14, never recovering from conceding the first 29 points of the game.

In the Six Nations outright betting Hollywoodbets have Ireland priced at 18/1 to win the title and 1 / 3 for the triple crown.

Results and Fixtures: R1 France (a) lost 36-14, R2 Italy (h) won 20-13, R3 England (a) won 42-21, R4 Wales (h), Scotland (h)

Wales:

Wales are rock bottom of the standings having suffered 3 defeats and they have just 1 losing bonus point to show for their efforts so far.

Wales hosted Scotland in Cardiff in Round 3 and the bookmakers had them priced as 18.5 point underdogs. The story of the game was very different with Wales in front early doors and 17-5 up at the break. Wales were still leading up to the 75th minute when a Scotland try completed a comeback and the visitors run out winners, 26-23.

In Round 2 Wales crashed to a 54-12 defeat to France in Cardiff, a margin of defeat that was greater than the bookmakers main handicap line which had seen Wales given 31.5 points start.

Wales were given around 28.5 points start on the main handicap line for their opening 6N match against England at Twickenham and it was nowhere near enough as they crashed and burned 48-7.

In the Six Nations outright betting Hollywoodbets have Wales priced as 1 / 10 favourites to finish with the wooden spoon

Results and Fixtures: R1 England (a) lost 48-7, R2 France (h) lost 54-12, R3 Scotland (h) lost 26-23, R4 Ireland (a), R5 Italy (h)
