WECANGOALLNIGHT finished 0.5 lengths behind SILVER FALCON last time. He is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. He won his maiden over this C&D. The son of Gimmethegreenlight runs well for jockey Sean Veale and the combination will be mowing down the frontrunners.
SILVER FALCON is a winner of his last four starts. He has won twice and finished third once from as many starts over this C&D. Should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.
AFTER THE RAIN hails from the Gareth van Zyl stable. He is better than his last start in the Grade 1 Golden Horse Sprint. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. He shows good speed in his races and if suited to this course, he may be hard to peg back in the run down to the line.
Race 2
KYTHERA has produced two good efforts over this distance at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth. She returns from an 11-week break, during which time she would have strengthened up. The daughter of Erupt meets the right field today and if not in need of the run, she should take a power of beating.
NILE THE BOSS was a tad disappointing in her last start over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth. The daughter of Potala Palace may be at her best over this distance at this stage of her career. She may be the one to fill the exacta spot.
NIGHT VIGIL is an unraced daughter of Vercingetorix from the Shane Humby stable with Bernard Fayd’Herbe in the saddle. She is related to three-time winner Nippy Winter. If not too green, she should start her career on a positive note. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to her chances.
Race 3
YELLOWPORSCHEROAD returns from a lengthy 47-week break, during which time he was gelded. He is better than his last start over 1250m as he was reported to have bled. His first two career outings over this distance were eye-catching. The son of Pomodoro clearly has class and with Bernard Fayd’Herbe in the saddle, he may be the one to beat.
SILVER CROWN followed up his maiden victory with a decent fourth- place finish over this distance at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth. He would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. From his good draw of two, he may be the one to catch.
RAGNAR LOTHBROK received a bump leaving the starting stalls last time, but finished his race off strongly. He has won three times and finished third once from eight starts over this distance. Keanen Steyn steps back into the saddle and he should have a say in the outcome of this contest.
Race 4
CHARLIE MALONE showed good signs of a form return in his last start over 1250m on this course. He showed good speed, but found one too good in the form of Winter Pearl. He has won once, finished second once and third twice from as many starts over this distance. The blinkers seem to have done the trick and he can go one better
BULLITT finished 0.05 lengths behind the top choice last time. He is 1kg worse off at the weights today and may have to settle for the same result.
JURY DUTY showed good speed when winning her last start over 1100m at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth. She has won three times, finished second twice and third twice from eleven starts over this distance. The 6yo mare is in a good space and should give the males a run for their money.
Race 5
UNCONQUERABLE LADY showed good speed in her last start over 1200m, but was caught late by Kamakazi. She has won once and finished second once from as many starts on this course. The daughter of Danon Platina is having her peak run today and with luck in running, she may find herself in the winner’s enclosure.
LADY LOOK ALIKE was an easy winner of her last over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth. The daughter of Var takes on stronger company this afternoon, but she is a progressive type and may be up to the task at hand.
CATTALEYA won a game race in her last start over 1400m on this course. She raced from a handy position and found extra where it matters most. The daughter of Silvano is in a good space and can follow up.
Race 6
VERONICA MARS is one of the better bets on today’s card. She stayed on when third in the Grade 3 Final Fling Stakes last time. She finished 2.3 lengths behind LADY SILVANO, three runs ago. She is 3kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. Two of her three career victories have come on this course and she may be the one to beat.
LADY SILVANO was given a peach of a ride when winning her last start over this distance. She returns from a well-deserved 13- week break. The daughter of Bold Silvano races well fresh and she can follow up.
MY FLOWER FATE followed up her maiden win with an equally impressive victory over this distance at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth. The daughter of Master Of My Fate takes a rise in class, but she has ability and can notch up the hat-trick.
Race 7
PEUT ETRE MOI ran a fair race in her last start over 1950m at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. She has won once, finished second twice and third twice from six starts on this course. The daughter of Master Of My Fate carries a handy galloping mass of 54.5kgs and should give the males a run for their money.
EXCEEDER should have finished closer to the winner last time as he was inconvenienced late. He has finished second twice from three starts on this course. It is encouraging that Richard Fourie is booked to ride and he is one of the leading contenders.
FALLO ANCORA set her own fractions up front over 1600m last time and drew clear to shed her maiden tag. She returns from a well-deserved 12-week break and if not in need of the run, she should give a good account of herself.
Race 8
ZIPPY OVER was an easy winner of her last start over 1950m at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth. She quickened up well, took the lead at the 400m mark and won with a ton in hand. She meets a similar field this afternoon and should follow up.
. LUCY THE PINK finished 1.25 lengths behind the top choice last time. She is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair in the run down to the line.
CLOUD CHASER is better than her last start in soft conditions. She has won once and finished second once from three starts on this course. The daughter of Silvano has scope and from pole position, she may be involved in the fight to the finish
