BettingDiaryThere is a full house of English Premier League action this weekend and we select 3 of the matches to have a bet on.

A week ago Manchester City and Chelsea were trading as joint favourites for the EPL, but City have shortened into 21/20 outright favourites after their victory at Chelsea last week. Chelsea are 11/4 with Liverpool 4/1, 10/1 Manchester United and you can get 100/1 and better the balance.

Click here for English Premier League long term markets including Relegation, To Finish Bottom and Top Goal Scorer where Ronaldo is still trading as the favourite at 23/10.

SATURDAY

MANCHESTER UNITED v EVERTON

Manchester United got a much needed victory in Europe on Wednesday night beating Villarreal 2-1 at home. That broke a run of back-to-back defeats, 1-0 at home to Villa in the League and 1-0 against West Ham in the Carabao Cup. They currently sit 4th on the table with 13 points out of a possible 18 and that defeat to Villa was their first of the season.

Everton are just 1 position behind Manchester United on the table and they are also on 13 points from 6 matches. Last time out they beat Norwich 2-0 at home and prior to that they had also lost to Aston Villa 3-0 away from home and their other away matches were a 2-0 victory over Brighton and a 2-2 draw at Leeds.

There were plenty of goals between these sides last season with this fixture finishing 3-3 and the reverse at Everton finishing 3-1 to Manchester United.

Manchester United 5/10

Draw 69/20

Everton 21/4

Suggested Bet: Both Teams to Score, YES, at 19/20

This bet would have arrived in the last 4 League meetings between the sides and Manchester United have conceded in all 3 home games this season while Everton have scored a goal in 2 out of their 3 away matches.

BRIGHTON v ARSENAL

Brighton are 6th on the table with just 1 defeat in their opening 6 games, last time out they drew 1-1 away at Crystal Palace. Their last home game was a 2-1 victory over Leicester. Their only defeat of the season came at home 2-0 against Everton back at the end of August.

Arsenal have climbed to 10th on the table with 3 successive victories after they failed to get a point in their opening 3 games. Their best performance of the season came last week at home to Tottenham where they won 3-1 and their last away game was a 1-0 victory over Burnley.

Arsenal did the double over Brighton last season and they won this fixture 1-0, but the season before that it was Brighton who won home and away.

Brighton 39/20

Draw 9/4

Arsenal 31/20

Suggested Bet: Total Goals Aggregate, 2-3 goals at 9/10

Looking at head-to-head fixtures between these sides this bet would have arrived in 7 of the last 8 meetings and this game has a 1-1 or 2-1 feel about it to me.

SUNDAY

LIVERPOOL v MANCHESTER CITY

This is without doubt the clash of the weekend and top of the table Liverpool against 2nd placed City sitting just 1 point behind them.

Liverpool were a bit disappointing last time out in the League, drawing 3-3 at Brentford and that was the 3rd successive match they managed to score 3 goals. They were also in action in Europe in midweek, hammering Porto 5-1 on the road, the 6th successive match that over 2.5 goal backers would have collected profits in Liverpool games.

City put any concerns about their ability to defend their Title to rest when they beat Chelsea 1-0 on the road last week and all 3 of their away matches this season have finished 1-0 with the other being a City victory over Leicester and the opening day of the season 1-0 loss to Tottenham. That goal scored by Tottenham has been the only 1 conceded by Manchester City in the League this season. City were in European action this week losing 2-0 to PSG.

City won this fixture 4-1 last season and the reverse match was drawn 1-1 at Manchester City.

Liverpool 39/20

Draw 51/20

Manchester City 14/10

Suggested Bet: Over 3.5 goals at 33/20

Goals tend to flow when these sides play and this bet would have arrived in 3 out of the last 4 League matches between the teams.
