BettingDiaryThe DSTV Premiership comes to an end for some of the teams this weekend and we take a look at 3 of the games and suggest a bet in each.

AMAZULU v GOLDEN ARROWS

AmaZulu are currently 6th on the log and assured of a Top 8 finish. They face Golden Arrows who currently sit 9th level on points with 8th placed SuperSport United, but with an inferior goal difference. Arrows will be desperate for the 3 points to put the pressure on SuperSport United.

AmaZulu are unbeaten in their last 6 matches and are coming off back-to-back goalless draws away at Cape Town City and at home to Sekhukhune.

Golden Arrows have only won 1 of their last 7 and they are also coming off back-to-back draws 2-2 at home to Royal AM and a goalless draw away at Marumo Gallants.

Only 2 of the 14 AmaZulu home games have reached the 3 goal mark and there have only been a total of 17 goals over those 14 games. Golden Arrows away games have averaged 2.5 goals each with a 50% split between over and under 2.5 goals.

These sides played to a 2-2 draw at Arrows earlier in the season and last season Arrows won this fixture 2-0.

AmaZulu 29/20

Draw 19/10

Golden Arrows 9/4

Suggested Bet: Arrows win at 9/4

Arrows have shown improvement in their last couple of games and I am backing them here mainly on the basis that they will be the more motivated of the sides with that Top 8 spot still very much up for grabs. Looking at AmaZulu home games under 2.5 goal backers will have to accept a very short price of 9/20 if they want to play in this market.

KAIZER CHIEFS v SWALLOWS

Chiefs are 4th on the log and have regained some form breaking a run of 5 games without a victory with 2 wins and a draw in their last 3 starts. Last time out they beat Sekhukhune 1-0 on the road and their last home game was a 1-1 draw against Mamelodi Sundowns.

They face a Swallows side that is 15th on the log and in the relegation play-off spot. Swallows have only won 1 of their last 8 matches and are coming off back-to-back draws, 0-0 at home to Chippa United and 2-2 away at SuperSport United. 5 of the 14 Kaizer Chiefs home games have delivered you a profit had you backed over 2.5 goals and only 3 of the 14 Swallows home games have reached the 3 goal mark.

Looking at head-to-head form between the sides, Chiefs won the reverse fixture 3-1 earlier in the season.

Kaizer Chiefs 1/1

Draw 2/1

Swallows 33/10

Suggested Bet: Over 2.5 goals at 15/8

There is not much in the stats to suggest that we are going to get goals here, but Swallows have no alternative but to go for the 3 points and this may well end up being an entertaining game.

STELLENBOSCH v CAPE TOWN CITY

Stellenbosch are 5th on the log and undefeated in their last 4 games, last time out they stunned Mamelodi Sundowns winning 3-0 on the road and their last home game was a 1-1 draw at Maritzburg United.

They face Cape Town City who have moved up to 2nd on the table and are undefeated in their last 10 matches. Last time out they drew 0-0 at home to AmaZulu and prior to that beat TS Galaxy 2-0 also at home.

Of Stellenbosch’s 14 home matches only 4 have reached the 3 goal mark while Cape Town City away games have also been low scoring with exactly the same stat and only a total of 20 goals in 14 matches.

Stellenbosch 5/2

Draw 21/10

Cape Town City 12/10

Suggested Bet: The draw at 21/10

This should be a tight encounter and I am backing both teams to share the spoils.
