The TPC Twin Cities course in Blaine, Minnesota is host to this week’s PGA Tournament the 3M Open.
This is the fourth running of the 3M Open and a number of the top players have decided to take the week off.
That doesn’t mean the tournament is any less exciting or hopefully profitable to bet on so here we go.
The TPC Twin Cities was designed by Arnold Palmer and plays to a Par 71. The course which used to be a regular on the Champions Tour was toughened up a few years ago, but as it often happens these days the pros are still able to take advantage of it and we can expect a low winning score. Driving distance will certainly be an advantage, but stats suggest that Greens In regulation could be the most important part of a player’s game this week.
Tony Finau is not exactly a prolific winner and he tops the betting boards together with Matsuyama at 16/1 alongside Sungjae Im 18/1. You can get 25/1 Riley, Davis, McNealy, Theegala and 28/1 and better the balance. Dylan Frittelli is the Top South African in the betting at 80/1.

Maverick McNealy each way at 25/1
McNealy is in consistent form and has two Top 10’s and has a Top 20 finish in his last 3 starts. He made his debut at this course in 2021 finishing 16th and he looks well poised to go close this week.
Cameron Champ each way at 60/1
Champ is the defending Champion and the reason we are getting such a big price is he hasn’t been in great form at all missing 5 consecutive cuts. He is a player I have rated for a long time, but I can’t see him staying in the doldrums for too long. He has had a short break and I am hoping he comes back firing at a course where he has great memories.
Garrick Higgo each way at 100/1
Higgo burst on to the scene and was been hailed as the next best South African hope, but his form has unfortunately dipped since then although he does have a Top 20 to his credit 4 starts back and finished Top 50 last week. Higgo makes his course debut this week and I must admit I am backing him here on the basis of the potential that I know he has and that he is South African. At least at a triple figure price we can’t do much damage.

Back to the top of the betting boards and in fact the very top of the betting boards for my final selection. I brassed over Finau initially as he just doesn’t win often enough for me, but in this field he actually looks quite well priced at 16/1. He has had two Top 5 finishes and a Top 15 in his last 5 starts and hasn’t finished up outside the Top 30 in 3 starts here, his best finish being a 3rd place in 2020.
