BettingDiaryLewis Hamilton will be looking to keep the Formula 1 season alive in the penultimate Grand Prix of the season at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit this weekend.

Hamilton has narrowed the gap at the top of the Drivers Standings to just 8 points behind Max Verstappen who has now finished second behind Hamilton in the last two Grand Prix’s.

Despite Verstappen being ahead with only 2 GP’s left, it is Hamilton (who still has his fate in how own hands) that is favourite to defend his title at 4/6 with Verstappen on offer at 12/10.

The Constructors Championship is also a decent race with Mercedes 4/11 ahead of Red Bull at 22/10

Hamilton had few problems in winning the Qatar Grand Prix and he finished well clear of Verstappen who had to start from 7th on the grid after a 5 place penalty. Hamilton started in pole position and led from start to finish and perhaps the biggest surprise of the race was Fernando Alonso driving his Alpine-Renault into 3rd for his first podium since 2014.

This is the first Saudi Arabian Grand Prix so we have no course form to go on, but all indications are that it will be a fast circuit and will most likely suit Lewis Hamilton who is a firm 4/7 favourite.

Lewis Hamilton 4/7

Max Verstappen 26/10

Valtteri Bottas 14/1

Sergio Perez 25/1

Charles Leclerc 70/1

80/1 and better the balance

Suggested Bet: Hamilton win at 4/7

These previews have been predictable with my money going on either Hamilton or Verstappen and this week it does look hard to oppose Hamilton. 4/7 is normally a bit short for me, but given this comes with a Money Back in Free Bets Special, I am willing to give it a go as Hamilton hasn’t finished off the top 2 positions on the podium for his last 4 races.

Suggested Bet: Top 6 Finish Esteban Ocon at 10/1

The surprise winner of the Hungarian Grand Prix , but his second Top 6 finish last week, finishing 5th and his Alpine team will be keen to clinch a 5th place on the Constructor’s Championship and I am quite happy to be taking 10/1 he rides another storming race.
