Benfica v PSG – Click here to bet
These sides currently sit 1 and 2 in Group H with PSG on top by virtue of having scored one more goal. Both sides will know that the dangerous Juventus have yet to open their account, but can’t be ruled out of the reckoning and this becomes a crucial game for Benfica in particular.
Benfica’s last start was a 2-1 win at Juventus and their home game was a comfortable 2-0 win over Maccabi Haifa. PSG saw off Maccabi 3-1 on the road last time out and they beat Juventus 2-1 at home in their opening game. They have won 14 and drawn 1 of their last 15 matches in all competitions.
Benfica are playing some good football and I think they can push PSG here, but at the end I think the visitors will edge this and I am backing them to win by exactly 1 goal.
Suggested Bet: Handicap, PSG (-1), the draw at 3/1
Chelsea v AC Milan – Click here to bet
Chelsea currently sit bottom of Group E on 1 point from two matches while AC Milan top the group on 4 points from their opening two games.
Chelsea drew 1-1 at home to Salzburg last time out and they lost their opener 1-0 on the road at Dinamo Zagreb. AC Milan beat Dinamo Zagreb 3-1 at home in their last start and they drew 1-1 at Salzburg in their opening match. Both sides won their domestic matches on the weekend with AC Milan beating Empoli 3-1 on the road and Chelsea getting a last ditch winner against Crystal Palace to beat them 2-1 away from home.
Chelsea have looked a little suspect at the back this season and both teams have found the back of the net in AC Milan’s last 6 matches across all competitions and I am backing that trend to continue.
Suggested Bet: Both teams to score, yes, at 17/20
Manchester City v FC Copenhagen – Click here to bet
Manchester City have got a 100% record after 2 games and they top Group G with FC Copenhagen currently sitting in 3rd spot with 1 point from their opening 2 games.
City beat Dortmund 2-1 at home last time out and they had few problems seeing off Sevilla 4-0 on the road in their opening encounter. Copenhagen had to come through the qualification stages and the group stages proper they lost 3-0 away at Dortmund and drew 0-0 at home to Sevilla.
Manchester City are coming off a thumping 6-3 home win over Manchester United on the weekend and FC Copenhagen had a slightly less glamourous victory 1-0 home to Aarhus, but that broke a run of 4 successive matches without a victory across all competitions.
This is as one-sided betting heat that you are likely to see this week and rather than focus on my usual markets I am going to go for a correct score here, Manchester City 4, Copenhagen 0.
Suggested Bet: Correct Score 4-0 at 9/2
