I really enjoy putting the weekly newsletter together but I have always wondered what percentage of readers just skip over my wafflings to the best bet.

I don’t know the answer but after last week I know there is at least 1 reader who skips straight to the business end. I was coming out of a meeting when Dave (an old mate of mine, no surname mentioned but Garth if you are reading this you know him well) said he lost 10 quid on the newsletter bet. He was surprised when I told him the bet Australia Women +37.5 won and it turns out he bet on the Australia v Scotland game to have more than 37 points.

Don’t be like Dave!

We had a good laugh and moving back to the bet I also took R500 off Oracle although it was a bet I should have lost with England far superior and thankfully for me missing loads of conversions.

We are on a decent run – long may it continue

THE HANDICAP
I got to spend some quality time with Oracle on last nights show and we had a great chat sharing a few stories amongst the bets including why he was known as “Small Gavin Cohen”

We also went head to head on 3 bets – win 3-0 you win a grand and 2-1 R500

Earlier today I caught up with Thoughts On Sports to preview the Gallagher Premiership and he as his usual calm, calculated and confident self.

POINTS TO BE SCARCE IN DUBLIN
When I wrote the Ireland v Bok preview there were no points lines and I took a different strategy to usual and placed 2 bets which rely on there being very little between the teams.

Since then the points lines are out and I really like the under 45.5. There looks to be some rain about earlier in the day and although it is likely to clear up any rain would be a bonus as I would be on unders anyway. I expect both teams to take this very seriously and to an extent to cancel each other out.

These sides don’t often produce points fests in Ireland and the 4 matches played at the Aviva have had 41,44,28 and 44 points scored
