The latest Goodforthegame newsletter penned by @BrentGraham with best bets for the weekend 2nd to 4th December and a 22/1 acca with @WorldSportsBet
The big difference between fixed odds and spread bettors is that you get rewarded in spread betting the more right you are, but also punished for how wrong you may have been, whereas in fixed odds it doesn’t matter if your bet loses by half a point or 40 points and this past weekend I was grateful to be playing the fixed odds.
I didn’t actually watch the Wales v Australia game as I was playing in a Poker Tournament (which didn’t go well), but I was tracking the live scores and realised early on that the under 48.5 Newsletter Best Bet call was a non-runner. It was a disappointing loss on for what for me was a disappointing weekend as I did some serious damage when the Lions failed to score over 34 points at home to the Dragons on Sunday.
I am not sure what I would have done in the Sharks game, but thankfully I had closed up shop as they failed to score a point against Cardiff and as I tweeted earlier in the week I am pretty sure that it is the first time in history that a double digit rugby favourite had failed to trouble the scorers and while not the biggest upset in history, it certainly must be one of the biggest handicap swings with the Sharks having started 15 point favourites and losing by 35.
THE HANDICAP – FINAL SHOW OF 2023
On to this week and what will most likely be the final newsletter of the year as I am flying to the UK with my family on Friday morning to watch my son play rugby for a couple of weeks and then to stay on and socialise with a few mates. If you are a newsletter reader or a Goodforthegame reader or viewer and would like to hook up for a beer please drop me a tweet or an e-mail. I won’t be travelling too far, but will generally be in London and the surrounding areas.
It was great to catch up with The Conductor and @ThoughtsOnSports on the show and it was a quality panel to end the year.

BULLS TO RUN RAMPANT
The lads on last nights show were pretty confident on the Bulls and in my preview posted a few hours before I also highlighted Bulls points overs.
They love nothing better than running an overseas team off their feet and I am backing them to score 33 points or more to hopefully finish the year off in style.

On the assumption that this is the final newsletter of the year I would just like to thank everyone for your support through good times and bad. I always plan to do an in-running tracking of the Best Bet Newsletter, but my admin is terrible and I will do a recon when I get back from holiday. We made a nice profit last year and I am not expecting the results to be as good, certainly we haven't hit as many double digit ACCA’s as in 2021.
There is lots of great sport to look forward to over the coming months and on holiday or not I will certainly be active on twitter and the Goodforthegame Forum.
If we don’t chat again have a great festive season and let’s relax and get ready to hit those bookmakers hard in 2023.
Have a good one!
