I cannot recall being on a betting run where so many bets have looked certain winners only to lose and the last 2 newsletter bets are cases in point with Munster coming back to break our -6.5 a fortnight ago and then last week it was the Lions who came back in the 2^nd half to deny Munster (and us) the win.

There was good news though as the acca landed at 11/1 and here is hoping we have turned a corner.

TURNING TO ALTERNATIVE HANDICAPS

For this weeks Best Bet I am reverting to a strategy that stood me in good stead last year. The lads liked the Reds -10.5 and Highlanders +7.5 so I am going to take shorter prices and the double works out at 12/10.

I had been eyeing both handicap plays out as well and with the panel rubber stamping them I am going to put my head down and hope that a gritty Highlanders side and a strong Reds team can deliver the goods.

BEST BET: Alternate Handicap Double – 5 units at 12/10 Highlanders +12.5 (11/20) onto Reds -5.5 (9/20) at WSB
