Leeds 3.75/1 Draw 31/10 Newcastle 13/20

It's desperate times for Leeds who come into Saturday's early kick off second from bottom, level on points with Leicester, 2 shy of fourth bottom Everton and 3 behind fifth bottom Nottingham Forest. It looks likely that Southampton will be relegated and any 2 of 4 will join them in the Championship next season. Sam

Allardyce lost his first game in charge of Leeds 2-1 at Manchester City, after this they visit West Ham and finish up at home to Spurs and Leeds have taken just 1 point from the last 18 available.

Newcastle went down 2-0 at home to Arsenal last weekend, just their fifth defeat of the season. They finished the round in third spot, 2 points ahead of Man United and 3 clear of fifth placed Liverpool and Klopp's side have played 1 game more. After this Newcastle host Brighton and Leicester and they finish up away to Chelsea.

The Verdict

When the teams met at St James Park at the turn of the year the game finished without a goal. Since then both sides have generally headed in different directions, Newcastle will be a popular form choice here but Leeds simply can't afford another defeat.

Given the circumstances I fancy Leeds can get on the scoresheet although whether that will be enough to avoid another loss is highly debatable.

With Allardyce being a fan of the set piece Leeds corner count could get a boost and I like 11 or more in total. With a red hot atmosphere guaranteed and so much at stake I will also take my chances with over 4.5 bookings.

Aston Villa 23/20 Draw 26/10 Spurs 21/10

Villa are eighth with 54 points from 35 matches, 3 shy of sixth placed Spurs. Brighton, with 2 games in hand, have 55 points and Europa League and Conference League qualification spots remain up for grabs. Villa have suffered back to back 1-0 defeats on the road at Manchester United and then Wolves but they have won each of their last 5 home games without conceding a goal.

Spurs ended a turbulent run of 3 defeats and 1 draw in 4 matches when they were 1-0 winners at home to Palace last weekend. Much has happened during that spell including defeats at Newcastle 6-1 and Liverpool 4-3. Their display at Anfield was arguably worth a point and they showed spirit to come from 3-0 down after just 15 minutes. This game will tell us more as to whether the ship has been steadied with Ryan Mason in temporary charge.

The Verdict

Villa were 2-0 winners at Spurs on New Years Day, their recent home form, which includes a 3-0 win over Newcastle, warrants plenty of respect but they still look a little short in the match result for my liking.

Spurs have to avoid another disastrous start and despite last week's clean sheet their defence is where the big question marks remain for me. I'd say there isn't much between the sides but a draw won't suit either and I like the look of both sides to score with either team to win.

I'm again looking to the anytime goalscorer markets and will go with Son who's price makes some appeal for the visitors.

Bets: Both teams to score and either side to win? (yes) at 13/10 Sportingbet

Anytime goalscorer Son at 32/10 with Sportingbet
