arsenal1819English Premier League football returns on Saturday and our focus is on the North London derby clash between Arsenal and Spurs and Liverpool's home game against Brighton.

Before we look at thee our featured matches as far as the title race is concerned @Playabets have Manchester City at 3/10 with Liverpool at 7/1, Arsenal at 10/1, Spurs at 14/1 and Manchester United and Chelsea at 33/1.

Arsenal 1.07/1 Draw 27/10 Spurs 24/10

Arsenal return to action 1 point clear at the top of the standings with 6 wins and 1 defeat against their name. After 5 straight wins their only blemish came in a 3-1 loss away to Manchester United but they subsequently bounced back with a 3-0 win at Brentford.

Spurs and Manchester City are the two sides just 1 point behind the Gunners. They are both unbeaten with 5 wins and 2 draws and Spurs most recent league game delivered a 6-2 home win over Leicester where Son returned to form with a hat trick off the bench. The 2 draws Spurs have played out both came away from home in London derby matches, at Chelsea (2-2) and West Ham (1-1) and they also lost away to Sporting in the Champions League.

The last time the North London derby produced a Premier League away win came back in the 2013/14 season. Those 16 EPL head to heads have delivered 6 draws and 10 wins for whichever team team had home advantage.

Verdict:

Of Arsenal's 7 opponents so far only Manchester United feature in the current top 8 and whilst Spurs are unbeaten, they haven't always turned it on in my opinion.

Still, we have 2 quality sides and this is always a tasty fixture and as far as a punt is concerned I'm looking for both teams to score and over 2.5 goals in total and I will also have a nibble at 2-2 in the correct score market.

Bets: Total Goals & Both Teams to Score , over 2.5 and yes and 0.92/1

Correct score 2-2 at 11/1

Liverpool 0.37/1 Draw 4.18/1 Brighton 68/10

Liverpool's record of 2 wins, 3 draws and 1 defeat leaves them 9 points off the pace although they do have 1 game in hand on the top 3 sides. They haven't played a league game since drawing 0-0 at Everton almost a month ago although they did subsequently play 2 Champions League group matches, crashing 4-1 at Napoli and beating Ajax 2-1 at Anfield.

Brighton's last 2 matches were also postponed and since thrashing Leicester 5-2 in a home fixture they lost their coach Graham Potter to Chelsea. Roberto de Zerbi is the new man in charge and he comes with a reputation for exciting and sometimes risky football according to BBC Sport. Brighton are in a lofty fourth position with 4 wins, 1 draw and just the 1 defeat which came away to Fulham.

Verdict:

It will be interesting to see how Brighton go under a new coach and with Liverpool already playing catch up this represents a tough start for de Zorbi.

Liverpool have kept just 2 clean sheets in all competitions this season and attack would seem to be their best form of defence so far this season. I'm with the home side to score in both halves of football.

Bets: Liverpool to score in both halves? (yes) at 1.03/1
