Southampton 33/10 Draw 3/1 Manchester United 15/20

Southampton were 2-1 winners at Leicester last week, their first 3 point haul of the new season. Their only home game so far saw them hit back from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 with Leeds whilst on the opening weekend they crashed to a 4-1 defeat at Spurs.

After 2 awful performances in a 2-1 home defeat to Brighton and 4-0 hiding at Brentford, United hit form at home to Liverpool on Monday night. They were full value for a 2-1 win with Sancho and Rashford the scorers. Casimero has completed his move from Real Madrid and at the time of writing a host of potential big money moves were still being touted.

Verdict:

Southampton have shown plenty of spirit to fight back and claim 4 points from their last 2 matches but their defence remains the biggest red flag as they continue to ship goals.

After impressing against Liverpool I would be surprised if United slipped up here. I will go with the visitors to score in both halves of football and hopefully Rashford gets his name on the scoresheet.

Bets: Away team to score in both halves? (yes) at 14/10

Anytime goalscorer Rashford at 23/10

Brighton 9/10 Draw 27/10 Leeds 3/1

After 3 rounds of matches only Arsenal have the maximum of 9 points and 2 of the 4 clubs who have 7 points are on show here.

Brighton have won away at Manchester United (2-1) and West Ham (2-0) and in between those road trips they played out a 0-0 draw at home to Newcastle.

Leeds pulled off a surprise 3-0 home win over Chelsea last week with Aaronson, Rodrigo and Harrison on target and they were well on their way to victory before Chelsea were reduced to 10 men.

After starting with a 2-1 home win over Wolves and then a 2-2 draw at Southampton Leeds are in really good shape. Rodrigo has now scored 4 of their 7 goals and they will feel they ought to have maximum points as after leading 2-0 at Southampton they conceded twice in the last 20 minutes.

Verdict:

Both sides will be full of confidence after their excellent starts to the season. Leeds were right back to their best last week and won't make life easy for the home side who are not the most free scoring in home fixtures.

Still, with confidence high I am going with both sides to register a goal and hopefully either side can find a winner.

The goalscorer interest comes in the shape of Aaronson who has impressed since joining Leeds in pre-season.

Bets: Both teams to score and over 2.5 total goals? (yes) at 12/10

Anytime goalscorer Brenden Aaronson at 49/10

Brentford 1.03/1 Draw 5/2 Everton 2.72/1

Brentford tasted defeat for the first time in Round 3 when they went down 3-2 away to Fulham. They fought their way back from 2-0 down but conceded the decisive goal in injury time.

Prior to that they were 4-0 winners at home to Manchester United with all the goals coming in the first half from 4 different sources and they also came from 2-0 down to rescue a point in a 2-2 draw at Leicester on the opening weekend.

After defeats at home to Chelsea (1-0) and away at Villa (2-1) Everton opened their points account with a 1-1 draw at home to Nottingham Forest last weekend. Demarai Gray scored in the 88th minute against Forest, the first Everton player to score this season after the consolation at Villa came from an own goal.

Verdict:

Brentford won both league meetings against Everton last season and so far their games have been full of goals. Whether that high total goals trend will continue against an Everton side who look short on firepower right now is open to question but they way they came flying out of the blocks in their only home game so far is encouraging.

I'm with Brentford to find the net at least twice.

Bets: Home team totals over 1.5 ? yes at 21/20
