Manchester City 7/20 Draw 23/5 Manchester United 7/1

Coming into the weekend program City were in second spot in the standings, ahead of Spurs on goal difference and 1 point shy of Arsenal. Given Arsenal host Spurs on Saturday this is a big weekend and City come into the first Manchester derby of the season unbeaten in the league with 5 wins and 2 draws and they have also won both their Champions League group matches.

United are 5 points behind City but after a horrible start comprising of 2 straight defeats they have reeled off 4 straight wins in the EPL. Their stand out results this season both came at Old Trafford, a 2-1 win over Liverpool and more recently a 3-1 win over Arsenal.

Last season City won 2-0 at Old Trafford and 4-1 at the Etihad Stadium

Verdict:

I'm not going to argue with City's form but I'm struggling to find anything I really like in my usual markets so will take a dip deep into the exotics.

The fact Haaland is as short as 11/20 to score anytime is a tribute to his sensational form. I don't go near those sort of prices but I quite the 9/1 for City's main goal weapon to score and get booked.

Gut feel is Diogo Dallo could have a difficult afternoon and pick up a yellow.

Bets: To score & get booked, Erling Haaland yes at 9/1.

To get a card Diogo Dallo? (yes) at 11/5

Leeds 27/20 Draw 5/2 Aston Villa 41/20

Leeds have 8 points to show from their first 6 matches but after a a promising start they have lost 2 and drawn 1 of their last 3. They are unbeaten at Elland Road with a 2-1 win over Wolves and a standout 3-0 victory over Chelsea and their most recent home game against Everton finished all square at 1-1.

Villa have 7 points from 7 matches. They snapped a miserable run of 3 defeats with a 1-1 draw at home to Manchester City and a 1-0 home win over Southampton. Their only other points came from a 2-1 home win over Everton and they have lost all 3 of their road trips so far.

Last season these sides drew 3-3 at Vila Park and Villa won 3-0 at Elland Road.

Verdict:

Both these sides should view this as very winnable and whilst Villa's away form has to be a concern I'm shying away from the match result.

I think we will see goals and hopefully for both sides and my anytime scorer picks are Jack Harrison for Leeds and Ollie Watkins for Villa.

Bets: Anytime goalscorer Jack Harrison at 13/4

Anytime goalscorer Ollie Watkins at 49/20
