Arsenal 15/10 Draw 27/10 Liverpool 1.55/1

Arsenal's 3-1 home win over Spurs last weekend saw them maintain their 1 point lead over Manchester City at the top of the standings and they now have 7 wins and 1 defeat against their name. After starting with 5 straight wins their only blemish came in a 3-1 loss away to Manchester United and they have been foot perfect in front of their own supporters.

Liverpool came from 2-0 down to 3-2 up and eventually drew 3-3 at home to Brighton last weekend. They now have a record of 2 wins, 4 draws and 1 defeat which leaves them in mid table 11 points off the pace although they do have 1 game in hand on the top 3 sides. They haven't played a league game away from home since drawing 0-0 at Everton more than a month ago. A 2-0 home win over Rangers was a much needed boost to their Champions League campaign in midweek but they have yet to win away from home this season.

Liverpool have won the last 4 league meetings between the teams, scoring 12 goals and conceding just 1 and they also knocked Arsenal out of the EFL Cup semi finals last season, 2-0 on aggregate.

Verdict:

This should be a cracking contest and another big test for the Gunners against a Liverpool side who can't afford to cough up any more ground to their rivals.

I see it being entertaining but close in terms of the scoreboard and preference is for a score draw. The any time goalscorer interest comes of the shape of Gabriel Jesus

Bets: Both teams to score and the match to end in a draw? (yes) at 32/10

Anytime goalscorer Gabriel Jesus at 15/10

Everton 5/2 Draw 5/2 Manchester United 21/20

After losing their first 2 matches of the season Everton have since reeled off 4 draws and then 2 wins and they reside in mid table. Chelsea were 1-0 winners at Goodison on the opening weekend and other results at home include draws with Forest (1-1) and Liverpool (0-0) and a 1-0 win against West Ham.

United crashed 6-3 in the Manchester derby at City last weekend and their record now comprises of 4 wins and 3 defeats. They finished the previous round 9 points off the pace and although they have won at Southampton and Leicester this season (both 1-0), they also lost heavily at Brentford (4-0) early in the campaign. Their stand out results this season both came at Old Trafford, a 2-1 win over Liverpool and a 3-1 win over Arsenal. United were in Europa League action on Thursday when they won 3-2 away to Ominia in Cyprus.

Everton won this fixture 1-0 last season and they also drew 1-1 at Old Trafford.

Verdict:

Everton have scored just 7 goals this season but they have only conceded the same number and their improved fortunes have been built on solid defence. That back line will probably be tested here with United wounded from a derby day mauling at City but whilst I could well be wide of the mark, I will go with less than 3 goals in total.

Bets: Total goals, under 2.5 at 19/20
